Hi Cmoms,
I was approached by a Times of India editor Arun Ram to comment on rape games that is getting prevalent in India and how parents could prevent their kids from accessing those websites.
I am happy to share the comments on the same and Advisory for parents that has been published in TOI today in the first page.

Thanks for the wonderful information. I just know how dangerous the internet could be in not used properly.
I am aware of these unwanted sites. But didn't know there are so much of prevention - like allow only certain sites and not to allow few sites with the keywords and all can be done using parental controls.
The PSP and playstation can access internet? I didnt know that for sure. Is there anything that could be done to avoid kids accessing internet from these toys?
You can disable internet access on these hand held devices like PSP, Ninento etc or most of these have parent control built in. Please read the manual and use these features. Also even low end cell phones have MMS now and is common way for spreading adult material to teens. Do periodically check your kids cell phones.
Yes, you kids will crib and complain that you are interfering, but that is part of the job description of being a MOM!
