For my kid also It was like that in the beginning(i mean Pre KG...now in LKG in different school,no such work and only teachers doing goos job and me jus guiding but ennaku athuvae naan puthusa padikira mathiri irukkuu....

being a lazy bone, not sure if i would do all this perfectly

s bhavani, even when we were studying we did lots of work, now after becoming a mother too we r doing lots of work..i never remember my mom doing any project work or charts etc for me..but we as moms r doingeven now :-(.

but i atleast thank God for me being  a housewife for  i do get time now.

same thing happened in my home ,my son got up early in evening ,we both sat to do OUR homework,we cant tell the excuse each time to the teacher he is not sitting to writenu...he has to write A to Z,five five he wrote without forgetting ,after that he forgot what comes after L,M..etc,so i made him to sing abc song ,u know he sang for me 22times abc ,mazalai pidikum,ippadi orey patta 20 times padina...sarinu konjam facesa kovama vachuta ,appakita i will writenu BAYAMURUTHURANE,en husbandku officesaiyum parthu ivankoodaiyum HW panna kashtama irruku.nee chummathana veetla irrukanu sollraru.naanlam 12th varikumae en Hw ka ippadi panninathu illa...ippa basic abcla irrunthu mandaila yethurane..

As of now no experience in this regards......

But after reading this afraid for the day when imanu starts his school............

:-) I thoroughly enjoy every bit of doing this and keep asking the teachers if there is any chart work stuff.....when I forget something, the boys come and come and ask me as if I was wrong.

My daughter's school is still in the category that doesnt give too much homework, as of now. But she's only in Class 3.

I am reminded of an incident that happened last year - My daughter was given an assignment - to draw a big clock on a chart - fairly simple isnt it ? While she was at it, her friend, our neighbour's boy, came to call her to play with him. My daughter said she'll finish her homework and come. The boy was surprised "Unga amma panna maattangala ??"  he asked !!!

Though i laughed it off that day, i had a small doubt, and got it clarified the next day, when i went to school and spoke to her class teacher, and related this incident. She laughed too, and assured me the school does discourage parents from doing their kids' homework, though they are not very particular about it

My son is 2 years old and i ll be in ur list in few months.

Though it increases our creativity, i donno how far it helps kids to develop their knowledge.

I am really tired of this homeworks .

Anumita gets her homework only on weekends..And Believe me Friday 5 -  9 pm ..I will be like as though am I am a Hot Stove...I will be that much pressurised

She rubs and overwrites..rubs overwrites..kadisiya enna alphabet ezhudhi irukanu theriyadhu..udaney oru adi..I don't feel bad while beating...after sometime I do go inside the room and cry...bcos after beating her enakey kai valikidhu..kozhandaiku eppadi valichidho nu....But it happens only on weekends...Pls god say no to Homeworks or weekends..

Apart from that I love doing the holiday homework..which is much of coloring,painiting,sticking....which I am never used to...

vel.. semma comedy... but enku romba bayama iruku...

am trying to make myself more organised, by waking up early n all.. but absolutely no luck

and these days home works r very  creative and interesting.. i love doing it..

Anu, after reading ur fb post, I was thinking if we cmoms cd do a protest against these home work (esp the holiday homework. what is the point of a holiday if u give home work?)
