It was a wonderful and cosy place. Just right for the 14 of us and our hyperactive kids. Thanks bhavs for taking so much interest and suggesting this place. Hope they don’t put you out of the club for the din we all created. PS. Bhavani is planning for a poolside-at-the-leagues meet up next time so gals get geared with your swimsuits

Topics of conversation

• Kids and their antics (boys were pretty reserved and the gals were very much at home, jaysvimal is lucky to get to know her DIL already)


• Schools the kids have joined ( Schram was quite popular…and I envy all those moms who have that lil thing in common…)


• Area talk….instigated by me for the selfish motive of finding some moms to give me company for my futuristic evening walks ( yeah! I start my walks if and when I get company)…No luck…all of us were geographically widely placed…though some of the moms got area mates, company mates and my childs classmate….envy soaring never before heights …all those blogs ( courtesy: Anitha alias anu ) on being the “good” person fade before my eyes

Hasina we missed u but we did manage to cook up a lil game …bhav to the power of 2 organised this tiny winy memory game….we were given 30 secs to remember 8 things ( or was it 10…nobody knows)…none of us got it all right…oh we have so may other things to remember so where do I put these things that have become permanent fixtures to my mind…a diaper, purse, a PINK rose, chocolate, comb, powder puff case, a mitten and a bottle cap…there were no losers since we all got one right and in tota we won…cheers 

These talks/games were very much interrupted by our sweet lil lenardo vincis and picasos…with trips to the rest rooms becoming personal relief camps and off-site tours…

For a person who had to skip breakfast the sign of this entrant made me grin with joy…now that’s what u call aromatherapy ….my stomach did feel good…the platter was simple but slurpable ( oh add that to the webster’s willya )…gayathri I did remind bhavani to click snaps but then we were all too ready to eat …who would want to patiently click snaps of yummy food ( except u of course dear awesome cook)!!!!!!!!! Feeding the kids and our tummies with equal vigour we did justice to the meal.

Indu suresh had organized a lil lecture by one of her friends on parenting. We weren’t expecting such a professional talk so we were slightly taken aback. Next time round I guess we need to fix up on the agenda( Series of events ) so that we are pretty sure before hand on what to expect…what say gals?...

After the eventful meet and lunch…reality struck..the bill arrived and with a poor turnout we had to divide the amount amidst us…I personally thank all those who lent support in calculating ( confusing) the sum receivable with such accurate precision that we all spent a good half an hour in this exercise…I had to hear a lot of praises (please use the  antonym here) being the “accountant” ….who told u accountants were good in maths???..its the mathematicians who are good in accounts and not viceversa…the process was fun gals ..keep the good work…we’ll do it equally well the next time round

• More time with the moms : I feel the personal contact we had in the first meet was lacking in abundance in the second. Wonder why?????...maybe it’s the time factor and the remedy will be to get ALL the moms to participate and talk about themselves.


• More moms: more the merry gayathri and sst get urselfs here quick….I keep thinking of where kutty vanished to….yoooohooooo!


• More games: this makes all of us loosen up a bit…so when we do the things we don’t usually get to do we sort of discover a side of us that we never knew existed after we passed out of school…(like now am talking history….)


• Preplanned events: A list of the events must be prepared and posted on the blog. Seriously, though this is a forum for entrepreneur and talented moms I seriously feel the meets must not be business meets. This is just an opinion and am telling this cause for the little time we get we would rather get to know the moms on a personal front (likes, dislikes, aspirations, dreams, problems, solutions etc.) than to be mere prospective customers/clients.


• Some Dance time : Sayee performing the endangered dance form of “bharathakuchumohiniattam” which she expressly said that she would forget if she didn’t perform it at a elite chennaimom meet up. The speciality of this dance form is that it inculcates the tantric and mantric powers to encapsulate the mind of your man and child …. simply put…the family audience will be too stunned to react and would nod in approval for any question for around one month from every performnance ( time may vary in accordance to impact of performance). Language no bar.

We thank ‘Mr’.Greeshma for the immense level of courage he showed in entering  a room filled with women power (don’t forget the kid power) and clicking group snaps with I don’t know whose camera ( please put the group snap up)…and greeshma darling ur good at convincing aren’t u….( she game me a personal tip on how to lose tonnes of kgs in jus one month...wanna know...i will be writing a book on it...buy it)

Our kids had their second round of fun…outdoor activity…jus as we were to leave the place….all of them wanted to stay back …so did we but then we have miles to go before we sleep…did I sound portic jaysvimal…atleast this once???

To Ritu and her lil angel….sorry I stamped on the lil ones tender fingers…God I felt so miserable and I still do…how could I be soooo careless…sorry sorry sorry…

The above stated passage is strictly my version of the meet and is wholly and solely my opinion. If I have missed out something or somebody it isn’t my fault but its cause I am still haunted by the 8 things or was it 10 …yeah the diaper, purse, chocolate….

Hey friends, i had a very great time meeting moms and their kids on a special women's day that made me to remember my first day of college..he he..yes it was like that...

 We had a less chat..but good time for the kids to enjoy with new friends, balloons and crayons..

Orey stomach-burning.....never mind....I still managed to get my children's head tonsured over that strenous weekend....will be there on April 4th meet-up with my mottai kutties...

Well u would've got a glance abt the meetup by now,i'll like to add my own version to it!

The meet up place was THE LEAGUE CLUB,Vadapalani.

Thanks Bhavs,for such a nice place! Myself and Bhavani went to the place together,to add here my kids love the ride in the car, thanks Bhavani for always remembering me to pick up !

Well we were late there by atleast 20 min and there were a bunch of ppl already present there!

I was surprised to be received with a rose and my children were treated with chocolates and with Happy Women's day wishes! Thanks InduSuresh and Lakshmi for this good thought!

Hasina could not join us as she was having a bad throat infection and I know Nilofer would 've longed to join us that day!

So were 14 altogether!

Mostly the kids were 3yr olds and the youngest of them all was Ritu's son ,10 months old, to join us this time!(sorry bhavs, donno ur second ones age!) I would like to add that we missed personal chats which we had on our last meet. With the kids around we couldn't  manage one this time :(

The children were getting restless and timely intervention of Gayathri with some balloons made them kind of busy with blowing and playing activities and then we had coloring seesion for them! And we to managed to have some memory game this time for the moms...Thanks to the organizers...bhavs,Bhavani...

With all the crowd around, my younger one was never leaving me and ofcourse, we lost some of our precious liitle time with the crucial trips to the loos! He was pestering that we go out of the hall:(

I could not also attend the seesion on total brain development arranged by Indusuresh:(

Last but not least,the food was simply superb and i cud even make my lil ones eat with those simple dishes! I kind of, had a gud time looking at other moms(Jaysvimal) following their child to feed them....

Sorry GayathriAnand, we had not taken any fotos of the food items ,cos we were pretty much hungry and also had the big task of feeding our children b4 us...

On the whole, i wud like to add that we all had a good time that day and our kids too!

Hey gals...sorry i'm late

I'm not a blogger too..

When i went to the club, i saw Sayee waiting outside (with a worried look whether cmoms will make it for the meet or am i the only phool waiting) and one mom waiting inside the hall.

I was so damn worried about the headcount till around 1.15. The only thing i kept thinking was "how much will it cost per head if cmoms don't turn up as expected"

Anyway thanks to all those mommies who made it to the meeting.

Even i thought the interaction between the moms was very minimal, don't know the reason yet. We did have time say from 12.00 to 3.00. I guess we spent lot of time EATING and FEEDING our little ones...which we are good at. I must say the food was awesome, or as buzzgks said the aroma was so good that we got engrossed in filling our stomach and forgot to speak.

I was waiting for the lecture to get over coz i wanted to eat one more cup of ICECREAM (hoping that cmoms would have spared one for me) only to c Greeshma following me to grab one more cup for herself (cmoms had spared one for her too)..Itseems she was waiting for someone to take one cup so that she has company...we bursted out laughing. ...SHAMELESS CREATURES. Oh...by the way...the ICECREAMS were getting wasted, so we helped ourselves.

Buzz...thnks for those balloons, crayons and paper...wonder what kids would have done if they were not kept engaged with these.

Indusuresh ...very sweet of u to give such beautiful roses to beautiful ladies

Bhavani..thnks for the yummy foreign chocolates....needless to say...this site is an amazing place to meet new people who share ur interests.

Bhavani...poolside is a very nice idea, if only some of us know swimming, to dive into the pool to save the poor kids....

Whatever be the reason, we all enjoyed it to the fullest, i'm sure all of us wanted to stay back for some more time, if only our responsibilities didn't creep our mind.

Oh...Sai said bye to her coolers which said hi to the toilet water. I hope it was not a branded one.

   By this time ,everyone would have got the complete picture of the meet ! Now it is time to write my own version! I dont know to do anything small ! Pardon me for testing your patience with long comments ! 

I couldnt write immediately after the meet as I was down with back pain .. Getting better now...

Now ..the meet ... If I were the judge from Manada Mayilada or Jodi No 1 , then my comments on our " Meet Program " would be....

1) It was fun...We all Enjoyed... Had all commercial elements whcih is supposed to be there for any event ! 

Touchy moments -- Roses and Choclates from Indu ( Thanks Dude ) 

Mindblowing Occasions - Ravi Varma's of the world ... (Gayu.. What a brain .. Brilliant Ideas...  even though u dont get the maths right ! 

Icing on the cake ---  Choclates from Bhavani and a yummy lunch in the club

2) Now coming to set ... Thanks to Bhavs for the wonderful set  ( League club !) and thanks to Gayu and Indu again for the properties ..

3) Now the best part of the whole event was the kids.... They made the event more lively....and whatever Minus that was there got compensated by those lil ones...

4) New pairs / dancers -- Indusuresh, Lakshmi ,Ritu,Bhavs+2 , Reshma, Anu,Jaysvimal,Greeshma -- Welcome to "Team ChennaiMoms"......

5) The game was fun ..which made us realize that we are not young any more ! we couldnt even remember 10 items !! 

 Now let me talk about the downside...

5) Chemistry between moms were missing .. Everyone was trying to catch up on a 1-1 which made the event loose focus a bit .. 

6) Master (Bhavani) didnt make all dancers perform..  Master.. Ur performance should be long next time too ..

7) There was a concept or  message on Parenting ..however this round was supposed to be a masala round  ( Only fun ...) ... And importance to be given to performers and fun ..not to serious concepts...

8) There was not much of a co-ordination between all performers.. Everyone was good individually..Overall .. the performance looked clumsy here and there. ..

To summarize.......

The performance ( Event ) was awesome.... We enjoyed thoroughly... (Kizhi Kizhi Kizhi)however if it has to be compared to the previous round performance ( First meet) , then i would say we can only classify this as " Meet Expectation"...  not exceeding...

Few requests / ideas..

1) Clear Agenda for Next meet ..

2) Next time , we need to make sure that every one talks.( Make Radhika ( Vinay Amma) tal k..and Gayu and I will try to stay calm ! )

3) Games --  ( Hasina ..Oh Dear.. we really missed you .. ) Bhavs was quick in organizing the event on the spot .. Gr8 !! but we missed those crowning ceremonies ..

4) More attendanceeee..... missed moms from First meet .. Nilo , Sabreena , rosanna ..Hasina ( Especially Sumaya .. My daughter was looking forward to meet her ) ...

5) Keep some debates next time.. People who want to talk more can channelize their energy into some useful topic .. :)

great to see more moms this time, from 8 it is now 14 . sure to see more and more in each and every meet ups.

buzz , tho ur comment was a bit long , i swear it was worth reading them, i enjoyed it a lot. ur explanation of the event made me bring the whole happening  of the meet up right in front of me. thanks to u and all other moms too, to give in ur view, made me feel ur enthu and joy , and ofcourse the smell of the food too.

Thanks to all moms to remember gayathri and me, i hope to come to Chennai very soon in a couple of months, hoping to join the meet too , praying my health condition should be fine to join immediately after i land there.

i think all such gala meets i only had during my college days, or till i got married then it all just faded away in thin air. after reading all this comments and ur feelings, i am not able to put in words how much i long to join the meet . hoping to  meet u all gals soon

Nice coverage on the meet. I think almost all the points are convered by our Cmoms.. And yeah, Kudos to Bhavani and Bhavs for organizing the meet. I thoroughly enjoyed the non stop bak bak with many Moms.. And was happy to see some future Schram kiddos..

Hey Gals... Well, its all beautifully explained on how well the meeting went.. I dont have much to add as almost everyone has given their version and mine would only be a mix of all. I did enjoy meeting everyone for the first time and since I didnt make it last time, I don't really know what I missed. It was almost a plain speak with few feeling very much at ease and some feeling a little reserved. and I wonder why no one said directly.. I thought I just spoke too much..

I did come with my own doubts how we would get along with those we had never met before. I knew only Bhavani personally till then. Am not sure if me catching up with Bhavani on our old projectmates was a little offline talk, but I did feel quite comfortable overall with everyone once it all started. Ofcourse I didnt get to help Gayathri any better than others with the math, what with my son eating up my half time with running behind him trying to feed. (Thanks Radhika for watching on me :) )

Yes, I agree there was some chemistry missing, something that we find with each other even in the replies we post to blogs...However, I am sure a little more organised get together and more participation from everyone would lighten up everything..

The chocolates were yummy, and thanks Indu for those roses, my son loved them... And those little balloon blowing stints did well to break the ice... I wish we had more personal talk on knowing each other a little more... Thanks Gayu for those crayons and we just loved to see the kids busy at work with all those lovely strokes they splashed on paper. Though my son kept saying the same thing that Rohit was getting tensed every time he spoke to him :) Guess all kids got along so well, infact a wee bit more than us elders.

Bhavs, Vibha was really a sweet heart with such bold talk and lovely sharing attitude. Anu, wish you had got your little one too..... Ritu - Nitish was such a cute darling and I loved the way he tried to bite on my fingers... Indu - your son was just so silent yet mischievious and wish Pratiksha had friends her age to get along with. And Sayee... your daughter was an angel. She listened to everything you told her!

Neha, Akshat, Vinay and Vikas just enjoyed doing dishum dishum, with little Meenakshi and Prithvi trying to understand what the 3 yr olds were trying to do. And Gayu... what an angry and possesive little Rohit you got out there! And Greeshma, as everyone else, a sincere thankyou to your appreciative husband...

Now looking forward to our next meet and Gayu... where ever I am put up in Chennai.. I am sure, I'll definitely come atleast a minute before you! :)
