Tags : What age would be suitable for children to start using Abacus?
Hi everybody,
Hope u all r fine..........
I Learning the Abacusprovides all of these skills and abilities. Children wholearn the Abacus generally achieve higher academic performance in all subjects because of the concentration skills the Abacus teaches them.
They are simply more capable of looking at a problem and working it out mentally, before diving in. When this happens they become more confident and successful in all areas.
So what is the correct age for a child to join Abacus....
Hi Kavi,
I live in canada and I started UCMAS(they use abacus) for my daughter last year when she was 5 and half years old. She is doing good. Each level goes for 3 months and she completed three levels and she is into fourth level now. First level was kind of tough for her since she has to learn some formulas which is very tough for little girl. But then she picked up very nicely with lots of time spending with her at home. Formula is something like +9 = +10 -1 and etc. there are nearly 40 formulas I guess. She can do mental addition/subtraction(two digits) now and tables from 2 to 7.....It improves concentration for sure. Hope this information helps you. Let me know if you have any questions.

I got this reply from SIP academy head.
7 years ideally in class II. In SIP we have a programme call AMAL ( accelerated mental learning ) which children at 5 years can also join.
