Ladies, I am sure most of us would have had our BEST TIMES spent at school….. I was just looking at my personal blog site where in I have put up some of my interesting time at school. I am now updating those here so that I share the laugh with C’moms too………

I did my I – X Std in a CBSE School (in T.Nagar by name Sree Sankara Bala Vidyalaya. Unfortunately this school was demolished couple of years before due to some land issues, we heard the school mgmt is going to construct a new building in Tambaram but no updates)

Now coming to the real topic, THE BEST & FUN TIME during our schooling were our GEOGRAPHY & BIOLOGY classes. The best part was for Geography we got a teacher who had NO knowledge on subject and for Biology we got a teacher who had OVER knowledge (before I pen up further, it is not my objective to pull out my teachers, it is bcoz of those pple, I am in a good position in my carrer. While I owe my developments to my teachers, I think there is nothing wrong in sharing the lighter side of some of the classes. I am not sharing the teachers name J)

Geography Classes:

Incident ONE: I was in 9^th Std then (1996), the Geography teacher started to take one of the chapters in which came the word “Leopard”. I am sure even a small kid would kw the pronunciation of this word, my teacher being a so called PG, Mphil in Geography read it as “L-E-O-Pard” (guess u all got what I meant), yes she pronounced it as “Leo” and then “Pard”. The entire class LOL, she got so offended and asked us what is so funny in that lesson? One of the very daring student, Gayathri (I think, indha peru vechaley oru maargama dhaan pesuvaangha) stoop up bold and said “Miss, that should be pronounced as “laypard” and not “Leo-Pard” – avalavudhaan aniki Gayathri-ku 7.5 years country Saturn caught (adhanga, yezhara naatu sani pidichudhu)….. she was the target of our Geo maam from then. In that class, that maam immediately said “nee yanaku solli thara veenam, rombha adhiga prasangi nee, I will complain abt u to the principal”………. Though she didn’t realy complain to the principal, her fortune days started from then

Incident TWO: Just a month before half yearly exams (Nov’06), this great maam kept a surprise test. If some one says test before a month itself, I will not prepare well, ippadi dhideernu sonna, yenna maadhiri samathu ponnu, hw will perform well? She asked 3 questions, of that I managed for 2 but for the last one, suthama ans theriyaadhu…. The question was “What is perinial & what is non-perinial river?” For this I wrote (I still remember my answer so well, this ans then became school famous too) “Rivers that are perinial in nature and are not classified as non-perinial rivers are called perinial rivers. Rivers that are non-perinial in nature and are not classified as perinial rivers are called non-perinial rivers” – ladies believe me I got a big tick against this answer & got 2 out of 3 (the deduction of 1 mark was because I didn’t give any examples….. ahahahah). The best part of this comedy was, Gayathi (adhanga mela sona ponnu), who is a highly intelligent student wrote the correct answer for this but got only 1 mark, she was so unhappy (this girl is very sensitive abt marks) & went to the maam along with the geography book and said “miss I have written the same as in book & why u gave me only 1 mark????”. Our Geo maam was waiting for opportunity to bounce back on her and said “U kw wat is CBSE and hw to approach exams in CBSE? U should never write what is their in books, u shld refer other books & write on your own, don’t just mug-up & vomit”…… he he he… all our batch mates were laughing on this for the entire day. Even now during our get-togethers & met-ups, conference calls, we use to talk abt this incident & tell Gayathri “Please don’t vomit”

Incident THREE: I was so proud that I wrote some non-sense answer and yet never got caught for that. When the boys at my class learnt this, one of them (Sasi Kanth is his name) told me that may be Geo Maam didn’t notice the answer well but if I do it one more time, I will for sure get caught. I told him, “yenaku andha miss-aa pathi nalla theriyum, the way I manage to write non-sense things, I will never get caught”. Then he immediately said “Ok, Bet, in one of the next few class tests, you should some were write a tamil movie name or a beginning line of a movie song, and if you don’t get caught, then I will get you a FAMILY PACK DAIRY MILK”. That time, family pack dairy milk was smthng realy big to us, so I readily accepted

The test day came, and there was a question “Name the hills of Western Ghats”. I never kw the answer for this anywayz, but with the bet at mind I wrote “Aanai Malai Hills is a part of western ghats, Annai Malai hills are the highest mountains in Western Ghats, annai malai anna mala anna mala asai vechen is located in high altitude”…… and if you read btwn the lines, I wrote the anna malai song a little. Some how with full guts, I closed the test note & submitted it. After doing this, I told every one in the class that I have done it….. the reaction from my mates were “oh my god, yen ipadi panna, arivu irukaa? We kept the bet for joke, if she catches you she will go to any extent. You kw our principal is very strict too, she doesn’t even allow us to dance for a movie song in cultural shows, hw will she tolerate this now? She will ask u to bring ur parents & complain this to them…..bla bla bla” and I started to fear out. Hey neenga dhana ok soneenga? What will I do now? Then everyone suggested “anu, miss will keep the test notes at her shelf in the staff room, tomorrow morning come early, before 8.15 am, go into the staff room (it will be unlocked by the peon at 8’0 clock), open the shelf, take out your test note and strike off the song words well or just strike out the answer itself”. I said what if I get caught by some one, then my class leader (Sashi Kumar) told that “ok I will also come with you, I will stand with you, if any teachers comes in, then I will say, I came to keep the project charts, maps etc… I will manage some stories, you come at 8’0 clock tomorrow”. I came at sharp 8 the next day & my CL came at 8.10, when we went into the staff room, god our Geo maam was already there and best part was she was correcting our test notes”……. Oh yellam pochu!!!!! She asked us “what you want”, “we said, nothing maam, came to check whether Maths miss has come, we have some doubts in our home work” and then came back to our class.

I literally started to cry, then every one said “anu, thatz ok, we will face it. We will meet your mom today & tell her what ever happened. So if principal calls ur mom later, it will not be big problem, don’t worry”. I almost got fever that day. The same day, our last hour was geography class, and god she came with the test notes. I was just praying every god that I knew (shiva, rama, Narayana, muraga, ganesha, allah, jesus, annai…… every religion god). Before she distributed she said “very bad performance, no one has done well in the test. Only Hema Latha has done well”, all others do imposition”, then she gave the test notes. Oh, I got the test note in hand, she has striked out the entire answer as incorrect, “0” marks next to it, but I am SO HAPPY, no remarks, no watch out for those words…..oh god THANK YOU>>>>>>>>. Didn’t stop with that, I got that FAMILY PACK DAIRY MILK FROM THAT GUY…….

I became so famous in my school after this incident (of course at the student level only, no teachers I think kw this), my seniors, my juniors, my batch mates started to call me “anna mala anna mala” there after. Even now in face book & orkut, if I send a friend’s request to any of my school mates, they will easily identify me saying “hey anna mala anuradha, yepadi iruka”?????

I THINK I WROTE TOOOOOOOOOO MUCH in this blog, will write about our biology class experiences in the next blog

Oru chinna incident thaan

In my school office room there was one nonjaan clerk . I nicknamed him as Arokya Samy and my gang always referred to him by that name. Slowly everyone started to refer him by that name and one paavam type of girl really thought his name was Arokya Samy and went and asked for Arokya samy in the office room. The lady clerk there gave her such a stare. This girl came back so confused and asked us and naanga ...kekkava venum. Annaiku fulla ava avlothaan.

This is quit interesting in my school life though it’s a bad experience…..

I was doing my 10^th standard in a state board school. One of my friend always used to comment my Cousin. I got irritated on it

and I asked her why you always comment my brother? She replied me that she is in Love with my brother

& I must help her on this

. Immediately I informed my friend who is sitting nearby. She too asked her & got the same reply. She also gave Love letter for my brother. I too passed the letter to my Brother without knowing anybody in our family

. I became a messenger between my friend & my brother

…. May be it was in practice for a week or 10 days….I was in a position to go to my grand father home(mom’s father) for a week. Meantime what happened I really don’t know till today

…. When I back to my home, my brother called me secretly & informed that he was caught by his mother & stop this things & not to talk to him personally also

. I was totally confused & forget about that silly matter

…. When I went upstairs for studying my mom & my Aunt follows me at back with great anger

…. I was joking with them without knowing future happenings…

Once I reached my room they two came inside my room & locked the door

. First my Aunty started enquiring me about that girl and I too informed whatever happened from the first

. The next is my mom oh God first time I’m seeing on her face that “She is ready for a wild attack”

. Gave a sudden slap & asking the reason why I was engaged in doing those bad things

. She asked me whether I gave any letter for my friends brother

(Here funny thing is I came to know that time only that my friend is having a brother)

. After all scoldings & beatings my mom & my Aunt came to my school & called that girl & personally advised her to concentrate on her studies

. These things were noted by her friend in another section. She enquired to my friend .But my friend informed her everything upside down

. (Dat I forced her to love my brother bla…bla…bla…). That’s all that new girl had told everything to my class teacher & my entire good name got spoiled because of her

….But I doesn’t worry for those things as I know about me very well….

In my school I was goody goody...but I used to hate my Maths and English teacher...coz they always compare me with my sis..She also studied in the same school...though in studies we both were toppg the class,she used to be really quite, down to earth,for everythg yes miss....But I was a chatter box...chattg away to glory while the class was going on...and I always thot that these 2 teachers din know anythg !!!

Once , there was a misunderstandg bet 2 teachers-Maths and Tamil...Since I was the class rep, Maths teacher held me resposible for that and made me stand outside the clas... and this has to be done everyday....I was given a punishment for the first time in my life...and I know she was takg a revenge on me, since I never agree to whatvr she says....

My friends and others asked me to say "sorry" so that she will forgive me....I was jus not willg to do so coz it wasnt my fault.She was also waitg for me to ask sorry....then ultimately our Head mistress intervened after couple of days...and made me enter the class convincing both of us...

In college I had a gala time...we used to eat corn puffs sittg in the first row...passg on to each other...while the lecturer was takg class....Since I was doing my CWA in the morng, I opted for eve college.There were so many days, we wil go for morng shows and be 15-20 mins late to college...and eveytime wud say, bike broke down !!!!

I really miss my friends....

We had a hindi teacher who used to never read the answers but expect long essays for each question... So, if i would not know any answer, i would just start writing hindi songs in between.... and the best part was that she would give me 9 on 10 for that answer....
