Tags : tuesdays with Morrie, book review

 Genre - Non fiction

Author - Mitch Albom

About the story - Morrie Schwartz is the professor of Mitch Albom in his university some 16 years ago. Morrie is Mitch's favorite teacher and the teacher adores his student and inspires him to follow his dream. Outside the university, caught in the materialistic and competitive world, Mitch buries his passion and starts to chase money. Meanwhile a terminal illness confines Morrie to bed but his spirit and zest for life still remains alive. The teacher and the student reunite and begin their last lesson together, the resultant of which is this book. As in the title, they meet every tuesday for their final lesson which covers various aspects like love, marriage, money, death and so on....

So is this a self help book? only partly! It doesn't preach. You will like how Morrie is and also his qualities - positive, passionate, humane, humorous and satisfied. Like in his own words, Morrie remains a teacher to the last.

Should you read it? A simple book to read and you will be able to connect with the author and Morrie. So go ahead and give it a try
