Top 15 Cooking tips for Chinese recipes

 

  1. Use slightly frozen meat so that you can slice it into very thin strips easily.
  2. Use sharp knife to cut Vegetables and meat.
  3. Particularly the vegetables should be sliced in the diagonal shapes for regularity of cooking.
  4. All the ingredients especially meat should be cut or chopped as uniform size so that it will cook more evenly.
  5. Always use fresh Ingredients don’t use the stored ones.
  6. Use fresh grated ginger and don’t use powdered ginger.
  7. Always when you are mixing cornstarch you should mix in 1:2 ratio that is 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water.
  8. Try to vary the meat and vegetables in a dish, so that there is an interesting variety of flavors, textures, and colors.
  9. Prepare every essential ingredient including vegetables and masala before you start cooking. So that you will not forget anything.
  10. When frying the vegetables, cook the thickest vegetables for a longer period than the softer, leafy vegetables.
  11. Use right quantity of sauces for cooking Chinese dishes because right quantity of sauces will improve the taste.
  12.  Always use light soy sauce instead of dark soy sauce except if the dish is particularly mentioned for dark one.
  13. When adding oil for stir-frying, drizzle the oil down the sides of the wok.
  14.  Use long grain rice for cooking fried rice.
  15. While cooking Chinese dishes use wok to prepare.
