How sleep is important in children

Sleep helps the children’s body and brain to grow. Muscles, bones, and skin can grow, for fixing injuries and for faster healing of diseases and it helps the body to stay healthy and to fight sickness.

How sleep helps children:

  • While sleeping not only the body and mind is resting but simultaneously it is preparing and getting ready for the next days work.
  • If we have enough sleep we will be in a good mood.
  • To pay attention and to perform better in school.
  • Fight sickness so you stay healthy
  • To solve the problems in better way
  • Complete home works soon and to concentrate in studies
  • Improves creative thinking and getting new ideas
  • Can do something innovative

How improper sleep affect children:

  • Forget what they learned
  • Be grumpy and in a bad mood in school
  • Will not be involved in games and sports
  • Be less patient with family members and friends
  • Have trouble making good choices
  • Have trouble in studying and understanding what teacher says
  • Often become sick
  • Poor intake of food

So sleep plays an important role in children. To have healthy and bright future children should sleep al least for 8 hours without any disturbances in night.
