Sheek kabab Recipe using oven

 

Ingredients

  • 500 gms  - chicken mince
  • 2 medium sized – Onions
  • 2 tbsb               - Ghee
  • 6 cloves            - Garlic
  • ½ inch piece     - Ginger
  • Few                 - Mint leaves
  • A small bunch   - Coriander leaves
  • 1                      - Egg
  • 2 tbsp               - Chick pea flour
  • ¼ tbsp              - Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp               - Cumin seeds
  • 4                      - Cloves
  • 4                      - Cardamom
  • ½ blade            - Javitri
  • ½” piece           - Cinnamon Stick
  • Salt as per taste

 

Method

 

  1. In a hot pan roast Cumin seeds, Cloves, Cardamom, Javitri and Cinnamon Stick.
  2. Allow it to cool and then grind them into fine powder.
  3. Add onions, ginger and garlic, mint leaves, coriander leaves and powder again grind coarsely.
  4. Now add the egg and beat it together with the masala.
  5. In a large bowl add the chicken, grinded masala and chick pea flour and mix well together.
  6. Add salt and chilly powder to it.
  7. Mix it and change to a air tight container and refrigerate it for 4 hours.
  8. Shape the mix into sausage shapes on a thick skewers if possible, with dampened hands.
  9. Gently slide off each kebab and place on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil.
  10. Cook in a very hot oven (230º C), for 15-20 minutes, until browned on all sides but not overcooked.
  11. Serve hot with chutneys or tomato ketchups.
