· Brushing for less than a minute.
· Insufficiency of drinking water. Bad breath is accentuated by dryness of the mouth. It helps bacteria flourish. Drinking a lot of water not only helps washing away left over food particles, it also stimulates saliva flow.
· Not rinsing the mouth after every meal.
· No regular dental check ups.

These problems are easily solved by a visit to the dentist. A dental check up is necessary at least once a year.
Few health related tips to care and maintain your teeth:
· Brush your teeth well for minimum two to three minutes well.
· Drink more water.
· Inter dental cleaning is very important.
· Flossing helps removing plaque from between the teeth and under the gums.
· Rinse with warm water and salt.
· Chewing sugarless gum will help in cleaning your teeth and also stimulate the flow of saliva.
· Doesn’t use the Gum with sugar as it is not considered healthy and has not recommended by dentists too.
· Rinse well after every meal.
· Add a few drops of lime juice to a teaspoon of salt. Brush your teeth with it once a week. It will add a shine to your teeth and keeps your breath clean.
