Advanced university degree in Food Technology

knowledge in areas, such as, food technology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition, international guidelines, biology, supply chain, etc and with expertise in food fortification.

Three years of postgraduate professional experience in developing fortified foods used in humanitarian and safety net programmes.Proven professional experience in the related fields with ability to work independently on technical matters with minimum supervision.

Advanced knowledge of WFP specified software (Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point) Lotus Notes; experience in facilitation and moderating discussions and training.

Knowledge

Knowledge on the special characteristics of complementary foods for children and other vulnerable groups (HIV impacted, etc.) Training and / or experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard WFP software packages and systems.

General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing administration.

Language

Excellent command of written and spoken English and working knowledge of Hindi.
