Ladies,
I would like to apologise for the delay in posting this blog which has been pending in my bucket for long. I am sure we are all geared for the D Day which is not very far. Please read through the following and let me or Sayee know if you may have any questions. Please note that this has gone through many revisions before actually being published.
The below agenda has been drawn based on the no of participants/confirmed as on the excel link. Those who have not yet to confirmed or registered for the event, please do so as we are still accepting registrations.

Rules & Regulations:
I am sure most of you have gone through above agenda which also has rules specified and some that have been missed on top are:
1. A Little prince and a Little princess will be crowned for the Fancy Dress contest
2. A special prize for the best talent in the Kids above 6 category will be awarded
3. One mom will be chosen as Ms.Chennaimom. It has been decided that the average points taken from the talent round and the Fashion show round which includes 1 question round to decide on the most deserved mom. (So....can we now see more participation for the fashion show moms? C'mon moms....you need not know cat walk to walk the ramp and it is just us)
4. All participants who will be dancing or displaying any other talent that might require you to play a CD are requested to ensure that it reaches me or Sayee before the 5th of January so we can ensure that all the songs are in one CD before handing over to the hosts for the show.
5. All moms who have registered your kids for the Fancy Dress contest are requested to PM me the costume that your child will be wearing at the earliest.
6. All participants are requested to assemble at the venue atleast by 2:30pm so we can start the show on time and handover the kids to the volunteers.
7. We have mentioned that each child can participate in any one program which will be taken for the contest. If you have your child signed up for two events like Fancy Dress and Singing....please let us know which one of those you child would contest in. Age limit for Fancy Dress is 5yrs and Talent contest is for kids above 6yrs. If there are kids who wish to display more than one talent, we will be able to allocate some time for a special performance if we are going ahead of schedule.
8. We require 30mins to an hour practice for the Fashion show also. Please let us know when you want to gather for the practice
9. Those who have signed up for the Group dance ---- please note that we will need to practise atleast two days for a min of 2 hour a day. Shall we try and do that as well?
10. We request your cooperation and support and this show definitely be a success if we all work together.
We have also prepared the Program schedule for each event however are still awaiting confirmation from a few moms. We are hoping to have the final version ready by next week. There might also be additions as posters are being put up.
By way of this blog, I am requesting the event committee headed by Shylaja to have a couple of volunteers to take the kids as and when they finish their event and make them be seated if their moms are busy getting dressed for the next event.
I hope I have not missed out anything. Happy practising.

Hi! very nice plan. yenakku ellam o.k.........i thought its simply gonna be ramp walk.so i registered my name in fashion show. but the question round from school days question na yennaku bayam....... so i am participating in talent round alone....

It will be general questions and anyway....it is not like a very big contest so let us participate and have fun. I am sure it will be hilarious too.
vaidehi, salwar/saree and color restriction? I am saying there is no restriction on costume for all the ppl who call and enquire.... If you really want to stick to this, then i'll give the numbers of the new joinees to you, can you call them up to find out the details on their costumes? Going forward, i'll say these are the costumes and colors allowed.
Yea Bhavani,...We have given the dress code so we are uniform in some way....moreover, they may have to come atleast for 30mins to 1 hour practice one of these days so we all coordinate and do the fashion show as a group than just walking the ramp as and when the names are called out.

I am interested to participate but have few doubts, need to clarify.
(1) U have mentioned group dance, is that a part of talent show for moms or just for entertainmemt as u said , if u r ahead of your schedule?
(2) M y daughter is 6 years of age can she go for fancy dress also? she will dancing on medly of songs, where and how do I need to send u the CD?

Group dance is not part of the talent show. If we have the time and are able to practice well in advance, then we may have a group dance by moms just for entertainment.
Fancy Dress is open for kids aged 5 and below. However, if you are keen that you want your daughter to participate in Fancy Dress, then she can come dressed in any costume but we may not take her as a contestant. She will definitely be a contestant for the talent show. Please add me to your friend's list and I shall tell about the CD collection etc.
You will also need to write to the administrator to get your ticket to the event which is Rs 400 per adult (you may bring along anyone else along with you for this event which is for women only)
Kids are not charged anything. Please fill in your participation details in the link provided in one of the blogs. Let me know if you can't find it.
