This is the 1st time v have planned for our summer vacation before hand itself.  But not to a hill station, v have planned for Goa and booked the tickets  in Feb itself.  V got a nice package from makemytrip.  But i do know that Goa is not the best season to go now.

I am bored of the all the hillstations in around tamilnadu.  I heard that Goa offers many water sports.  I also have some plans for the winter vacation.

Really wanting to escapeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....................and have fun

Well, summer vacation is mostly time to spend with my parents. We don't go to hill stations because of the summer rush in these places and the hotels are also expensive at this time. We usually plan hill stations in Sep or Feb.

So summer vacation is shopping and eating time in bombay (mumbai)....

Lucky you shylaja! I sooooooooo miss Mumbai! Love the pani puris, bataata vadaas, bhel on the streets, hot jalebis, and the ecstatic linking raod!! Ensaaaiiii!!!

Our favourite place has always been Ooty and thadikki vizhundha we go off to Ooty. We normally stay at Sterling Resorts but we had the opportunity to stay at Zest for a few days two years ago in Ooty and it was excellent.

Last year,....we ventured into the Avalanche and Emerald Dam and that area around Red Hills in OOTY and it was beautiful. In fact this year we wanted to live in Red Hills and also in the Forest bungalows in Avalanche but later changed our mind. Since Munnar was not available, we are going to Kodai and from there we are going to take a couple of days on a house boat in Alleppey via Thekkady.

Yercaud is good for a short stay. Ooty is very good but if you willing to explore beyond the town area and into the forest. Kodai is unpolluted and beautiful too. Munnar is damn good. Coorg I hear is very nice too.

we hv planned to Goa this year.we never plan every year as my daughter and i wud love to go to my mom's and mil's place. we love to spend time with my parents, in laws and all our relatives as they too hv summer vacation and  they eagerly wait for us to come there.

We had stayed in Mahindra in Munnar last year and it was a wonderful experience. We went for a mountain treck and visited an elephant shelter there. Also got a chance to give bath to baby elephants in the shelter.

This year my husband and I are planning to take off to Kodai. We want to visita all the places we visited during our honeymoon there. I am soooooooo looking forward to it!!!

we planned to go shimla this year and last month itself we booked ticket and hotels everything.This is my first summer vacation in north india and still we are not booked any hotels we plan to book Sunrise Villa Resort.If you know any other good hotel please let me know..
