Hi Moms!
I am sure the sweet memories of our very first event Mamma mia is still lingering in your minds and hearts. And those who missed the event must be finding it difficult to overcome the fact that they could not be a part of it.
Let me take you way back to 28th November meet up.............................
The leagues club is where we met, Bhavs who is a member there helped us find a place there for discussion. Believe me when we gathered there all of us were in a big doubt if we can ever make it happen. Even during the discussions we were limiting our thoughts to a small get to gather with only a dozen mom and their kids. I remember kidding to Sayee that "I think we will have a crowd of 100 at the least!!! " And to my surprise it did happen(Maybe not hundred but definitely a decent count!!) Anyway we were all enthu and started with our preprations and when our dear Admin joined us after a day the rocket just took off!!!
One after the other things started taking shape. The promotions for the event. The hunt for venue. preparing the participants list, it just kept happening and soon it was time for the next meet up on 10th December at vanilla place. This time we had a real good count and amidst all the confusion a chaos with kids playing around and ordering of food we did a great deal of work and distributed the tickets. It was only after our first round of collection that we gathered confidence that this event is going to be a big one and you see the result of it all!
IT was an amazing experience!!!
What is even more amazing is the ease with which we co-ordinated with each other. I mean though we all belong to a virtual group where we hardly know each other we were constantly in touch with each other and all of us knew what was happening when, be it programme management, event management, promos , accounts, everything was so clear. "No misunderstandings, no mis communications". It was a great team work!!! Which I have never seen for ages till now.
The talks were purely fun, event related, no in house politics, no arguments and disagreements, no pride, no prejudice, all of the factors which come along with social groups and gathering were never once seen here.
IF people still think that when two women meet they have to gossip, then they must know that there were two and many more women but we did not just stop with gossip(which we are of course good at) but we did something even greater, we symbolized unity with "Mamma Mia"
My sincere request to all you moms there, lets not stop with this!!! LETS keep our chennaimoms more lively with some event (small or big) every now and then.
Hope i have someone to back me!!!

Yes, Sudha definitely. There are lot many things we can do.
Our bond is only growing stronger. We meet, then discuss our daily life online then we meet again... Hope this continues for a long long time....

i too never seen this kind of unity among women.
THE SUCCESS IS bcoz our talks were purely fun, event related, no in house politics, no arguments and disagreements, no pride, no prejudice, LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST NO SELFISHNESS of anyone .
(after reading BHAVANI's blog only i came to know how many of thm contributed for the event ( all of us worked as a TEAM )

what i feel is that more than men, women can coordinate & perform tasks with perfection. Thats what happened at mamma mia. great work & coordination u all....
sudha, am with you and the rest for such events. We can plan something for womens dzy just for members.
yes i agree with u sudha v should keep doing this good work.
v should plan any event atleast once in 2 mths so that v can get to know each other better.
s, though it was a first event it was coordinated well and came out excellently well. All the credit goes to our admin for starting such a wonderful site and connecting us all.
wonderful performance...am very much impressed with the spirit and coordination, .since asmita had fever i was not able to join the celebrations... i hav seen the pictures in picassa and i congratulate all for the success of the event..... am not able to relate names with the pictures.... if possible can anyone add names (in the caption) so that it would be easy to identify the moms

I ve very gud friends n they always encourage me .. n keep telling for my height
i shud be modelling... so i ve always dreamt to do a ramp walk ...but i know my status..
i ve even told my hubs earlier tht th day i do a ramp walk.. my soul may rest in peace..
I don know how many of u took this mama mia seriously .. for me it was lik a dream come true
i was very happy tht i participated .. i cud not win .. no regrets whtsoevr ..

Hey Sangita Vijai,
Why dont you try participating in Mrs Homemaker 2010 or Mrs.Chennai 2010 this year. Both are conducted around the year end. I am sure your dream walking on the ramp will again come true.

It was a dream come true to walk on the ramp for Chennaimoms...
I told my husband..."even though i didn't participate in Ms Bangalore or Ms India etc, i participated in Ms chennaimoms and got the crown n sashe

when i first saw you i thought wow she really looking like a model.....your height,your hair,your features everything perfect like of a model...........if you participate in any event as vai said my vote to you.... 
s sangita, as everyone says u hv all features needed for a model. u maintain ur body so well. what a hair u hv!!!!!!!! really when u removed the clip ur hair was just swaying as seen in ads. i hv never seen such type of hair so long...ur talk was also good. try participating in all contests like this.
