I love the way kids speak. So bold and straight from heart. Direct Dil se.....

Here is one incidence where something my niece said made us roll with laughter........

We were all out for shopping during Christmas (My Husband, anju, me , my sis in law, her husband and my funny niece). Since it was a festive season the shops were all decorated for the occasion.  Without even a moments thought my niece let out in excitement....

"Kuku(that's what she calls anju) see the "tulsi plant" its so beautiful"

We all turned around to find ofcourse a beautifully decorated "X mas tree". We all laughed at her innocent comment and the best part is that she joined us in the laugh too

Long time back when my sister was a kid (she was born 7 years after me), she came running to me one day "akka akka look what i found" she showed me a sheet of paper with lots of stamps and proudly said "This is for our stamp collection" I was dumb struck....  did not know what to tell her- It was actually a big postal envelop with lots of stamp, all of same kind. My clever sister!!! she thought stamp collection was to just collect lots of stamp!!!!!

There are so many things which I still cant forget. I just love to see the little ones speak.

I am sure you will have many such stories too. Share with me here any just thing that your child said spontaneously but made you laugh, think  and wonder.................

sudha..on reading this blog...i too remember one such narration by my sister's daughter..she is in 2nd std now. I was paying a visit to my moms place one day where this l'l gal (my sis stays 3 houses away from my mom) was watching the "Paartha muthal naale...." song in TV from vettayadu velayadu....

Suddenly she said..."chitti ippo paaren..avan avalooda jimmikkiya aati vittutu povaaan...." i was like  adn as she said kamal was playing with the heroine's earrings... how much kids notice...i still remember this dialogue whenever i see tht song....

This incident happened very recently... We were going out for some shopping near our house..and we played some song..my little fellow was sitting in the car was telling "amma plz don't sing along" I asked him the reason...he said "It gives me a headache".........and says why don't u talk to me instead,,,.....

Another one was  y'day :

We are vegetarians...but want to give egg to my son ...so I would pack boiled egg twice a week for his mid morning snack ...day before y'day he took it back without eating...the reason he said was..."teacher told me if I am feeling full I can close the box"...I had to convince him saying that doctor has advised me to give egg etc..etc.. the very next day When I told him that I had kept something else for the box...he told "Thank you amma for not keeping me egg" ...He was very serious when he uttered these words...i could not control my laughter.....

@ kg3- i know its so surprising that the kids notice things that even we miss out.

@ Poornima- i think we have to make you sing in one of our meet to find out the reason behind your son's comment.

@VaniArun- I am sure if your father's friend had heard it he will surely not to come back again

Kids r always cute and to listen them speak....

Prithvi,my younger one is going to play school,he's so timid and soft-spoken in school.Last month there were some days dedicated to diff. activities like: One day they hv to sing their fav rhymes, one day for fancy dress etc.

So i made him learn one rhyme so that he could sing it there, but i was so confident he wouldnt do it!!!!

As usual,i went to pick him and asked the staff "Did he tell the rhymes?" she said no.After coming home i asked him why didnt he sing the song in school?

He told me that the teacher could not hear - he told it as "Miss-ku kekaliyan"....I was shocked and laughing and thought abt it for a moment and then i realised...

He would've told it in a feeble voice and the teacher would've pointed that she coudnt hear him ..... enna solradhu.,.

sangitha- Nakshatra is just cleaver like her mom!!!!! i am sure when she grows up she will be playing with words too.

Happymom- not very long, your kid will break your head with his(?) questions and  comments too.

Vinayamma- Same pinch. That is what my daughter did. but of course we could stay with them but even then she sang so softly that the teacher had to litrally keep her ears close to anju's mouth but then she gave up.
