If you think Mamma Mia was a big success. Then you had to be there for yesterdays Women's Day event. It was ultimate..............
And I would give all the credit to the Dads this time. For they were ready for everything, they turned into artists, designers, weigh lifters, writers, everything for their kids and their kid's mom. Believe me they were all true Heroes of the day.
Ok!!! If I go to type the entire story here then it will take ages. So, since it was a total games event, I'll give you here the highlight of each game.

By the time I reached a lot of them had already gathered. I did not want to keep the men waiting and make them feel restless so I thought it was best to start off with games even though our Admin had not arrived(Buzzy note this, This time our Admin was the one who came very late, of course the Last one to come was Bhavs with her family)

1st Game: Dance and freezzzzzzzzzzze.......................
Deena (The winner of Valentines day contest) was our DJ for the game and believe me he tested the kids patience trying to find some fast music. Thank god he settled for one before they all ran away again.
How to play: When the music is on the kids dance and as soon as the music stops they freeze and have to remain so till the music starts again.
Smrithi (daughter of Kg3) was a frozen throughout the game  She was not ready to move at all.
The Winner: Shreelaksha (Dolpy's daughter). Sonika (Lekha’s Duaghter) did her best too and came second.

2nd Game: I Love Chennai Moms
How to play: Lots of Chits were made with one word in each "I" "LOVE" "CHENNAI" "MOMS". The kids helped me in throwing the chits in every possible direction and moms had to hunt for all the words and finish the entire puzzle.
Moms who could not find all  of the words started auctioning d bartering the chits.
The winner: Finally Lekha (Bhavani) came up to me with the complete set.

3rd Game: London Bridge is falling down
How to play: Moms stand on either side make a bridge out of a duppatta and wave it up and down while the crowd sings London Bridge is falling down. Kids pass under the bridge and the one who is caught when the bridge falls is out of the game. We divided the kids into two batches so that they don’t hurt each other, one for older kids and other for toddlers.
1st set , Rahul(Chitra’s son): Tried all possible trick for not coming under the falling under the Bridge.
2nd set, Anjanee (my daughter): was all the time sitting under the bridge.
Winners: 1st set: Rahul, 2nd set: Petrina (Penitia’s daughter)

4th Game: The Island (Couple game)
Now comes the fun part……..

How to play: Give a sheet of newspaper to each of the couple and ask them to stand on it. Then they have to fold it into a half and stand on it again. The game continues with the couples’ effort to stand on the sheet of paper, folding it every time, until they finally give up. The two who manage to make maximum no of folds and stay inside the island are the winners.

Chitra and her husband Deena. Chitra would have given up but Deena would not let go. He folded the paper into the least possible bit stood on top of it and made Chitra stand on his feet. Ofcourse Anu and her husband were no where behind but both the couples were so quick and the judges so slow that a quick decision had to be made.

Winners: Deena and Chitra for their persistence. Deena even demanded for a medical compensation for the treatment of his leg…..

5thGame: Paper dressing (For the family):

How to play: each family is given a set of old newspaper and they have to dress up one among them with those papers. The best designed dress wins the prize.

Everyone ofcourse chose their kids for dressing up. You might have never seen the patience with which the Dad’s dressed up their kids!!!!!! All of the dresses were so creative. Vidya and her husband Ram did even go to the extent of making a pant on top of the pant which Siddarth (their Son) was already wearing. It was fun. Abhi and her Husband Arun were trying their best to keep the pretty dress they made for their daughter Asmitha(2yrs old) intact.

Winner: Penitia and John, they surely deserved it because the dress had all possible creativity.

6th.Game: Make up game:

How to play: Kids have to put on make up to their moms in 3mins.

Two men as Judge John (Penitia’s Husband) and Sri(Kg3’s Husband), we had to give them more time to judge than the time we gave for the participants.
On special request we did not take any picture of the moms after the game. This game was played by semi families ( that’s the name we came up with for the moms who came only with their kids)

Winner: Dolply and her daughter Sreelaksha( Laksha actually did a good job!!!)

7th Game: Artist of the day- (Family Game)
How to play: Each family forms a group. One of them gives a really funny pose as models and the rest are artists who have to put in their best and draw a picture of their models. The best pose along with best picture wins the prize.

Penitia’s pose like a dancer! and Sherell’s (a new friend of ours) Husband’s drawing which resemble Mickey mouse more than their son Joshwa!

The Winners: Bhavs and her family, they came up with a beautiful picture of the two loving sisters (their daughters Vibha and Saana)
                                                                BREAK FOR LUNCH
                                                                                                   ………………………….. Continued in blog 2
