I thought the men would start pestering their wives to leave as soon as the lunch was over. But to my surprise all of them were fresh and back again to play games. Now, whoever thinks that men do not socialize, do not like gathering and do not chat!!?? I saw most of them having a good time speaking with their fellow mates, discussing all possible things. I never ever throughout the event noticed any discomfort of being forced into a family get to with strangers and that too on a SUNDAY!!!!!!

Back again with the games!

8^thGame (For Kids): Shopping.

How to play: we give the kids list of things and they have to collect all those and get back to their moms and moms hand over the bag to volunteer. The first one gets the prize.

Rahul!!! Rahul!!! He had made a game plan before the game had started and followed the same. This family (Chitra, Deena, Rahul) would never say know for anything. You say game and they stand up!

Tiny ones Jaushwa and Petrina reached last but with the complete set. So chweet……….

The Winner: Yes of course you guessed it right! It was Rahul.

9^th Game: Confession Box

How to play: Ask all the husbands and wives to write a fun confession note for their partner and sign it with their secret name that only the wife will know and drop it in the confession box. Then we read out each note and ask the partners to guess which letter for them.

Abhi and Arun: Abhi had written and note so obvious for Arun to guess but Arun I guess was lost in his own world that even after the letter was read thrice he did not guess it was for him until of course Abhi stared back at him. Deena’s confession of drinking scotch in disguise of homeopathy medicine and signature as “erumai” made us laugh too.

You had to see the couples making signs to eachother when their letters were being read. People can actually communicate through eyes alone and I saw it happening there!!!!!

The winner: Sherell and her husband Raj: Raj had commented and requested for a change in the special breakfast routine of Dosa everyday!!! As soon as we read the note Sherell stood up to say it was for her.

10^th Game: know you and you know me?

How to play: Each partner is given a set of question and they have to write down their answer and the answer for their spouse. The pair whose answers tally the most win.

Gayathri(Kg3) and Sri (her husband), whose lil one (Swati)got cranky but they still went ahead and played the game. Anu (Anushisha) played the game while settling the accounts with all present there, her son (1 and 1/2) ofcourse was very co operative and husband too(always smiling and enjoying everything the kids did).

Winner: Sherell and Raj again!!!!! After all the evaluation it was found that only the two had managed the best score.

GAMES OVER.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We gave away all the prizes and in the end we had special prize for

The Best Family- Penitia, John and Petrina.

Best Couple- Sherell and Raj.

hey sudha...when i saw my name in pink...i thought i had really won...but somehow missed the prize in all the confusion......ippadi emathitiye sudha.....

inspite of conducting all these games...seems like u have even noticed everyone and remembered all the incidents....very good...very good...keep it up...

and a big cheers for little anju...she was extremely co-operative.....

I wish I had sudha's enthusiasm! Even though I went late, I could see how organized she was with all the games (thanks to ramya - dolpy for helping her), conducted it all in a very smooth fashion and she was full of spirits from beginning till end. I must say "Sudha was the queen of the day! and anju the little princess".

Thanks to Anu for co-ordinating with the resort people, arranging everything and guiding/giving directions for all of us to reach the resort!

Thanks to all moms who made it up for the women's day celebration get-together (i must really appreciate Jaisree for joining us inspite of other engagements she had!).

Thanks to all Men who came and was a part of this great show. I would like to get all their opinions.... i am sure they have blogspots, if not, could you moms get their opinion on our get-together and chennaimoms and post it here?!

Hey Sudha.. nice description of the events happened yesterday.. And real Kudos to you for conducting all the events with so much patience with the kids and moms and dads as well.

We ( me, dhina, rahul and my MIL) really enjoyed yesterday's events... Rahul was so happy to have received the gifts .. he loved it the - 2 painting sets.. i have asked him to open only after school gets closed..

hmm then I asked my MIL if she enjoyed yesterday.. she said it was good and had fun.. but only part she felt bad was her son's confession.. and asked him. ' unaku idhu ellam thevaya' nu.. I know she must have felt bad with that ' yerumai' part.. ..

I am so sorry for writing this note very late....

Sudha - I met her for the first time, heard a lot her game enthu thru mamma mia blogs but didnt expect her to be such a PERFECT PLANNER. God, she handled the entire crowd & to be more specific a gathering who arent so familiar with each other (except for their own families) in a BEST POSSIBLE WAY. During that 4-5 hours of meet, none of us ever felt bored. Though i missed the major part of the meet running behind my kid, I did sense how comfortable & great did the entire group felt. Kudoz sudha - you did an excellent job. My husband said she conducted the show in an excellent way - better than even how an experienced event management person could have done.

Ofcourse credit goes to ramya & Jaishree too, who helped Sudha in each & every game and kept the things too lively.

Thanks to every mom who made it to the meet & special thanks to every men & kid who joined too............ Congratz to all the winners

And a very special note about Bhavani - She silently njoyed every second of the meet and at last she committed "I AM READY TO LAUNCH CHENNAIDADZ.COM, PROVIDED ONE OF THE DADZ ARE READY TO ADMINISTER IT" - Bhavani indha dhrogam matum senjudadha please.......... it would mostly be a exchange of complaints online forum only
