I know its been tooooooooooo many blogs from my end but I have to write and share with you all my experience at the Women's day meet.
First of all ppl you have to forgive me for getting some of the names(Dad's) wrong. I was in such a hurry to post those blogs that I did not even bother to check it up once.
This blog is specially dedicated to all the Dad's who came to the meet. I want to complement each of you for I really havent met such wonderful ppl in my life.
My interaction with men have been very limited since i studied in a girls college, worked in a small office and have only a younger sis. So, I was really worried how I would get them all play game at the event but it was very easy for me since they were all very friendly.
Ok let me introduce to you all those Men:
1. Karthik (Vidya Ram's husband)- A very matured person. Everyone of us would have seemed like kids in front of him. He sincerely followed all the instructions I gave for the game. If I ever had an elder brother I would have just wanted him to be like him!!!
2. Dhinakaran (Chitra's Husband)- Full of energy. His never say die attitude is what inspired me to keep going. Even if i had conducted 10 more games and everyone had left he would have stayed back and played them all. A strict follower of rules- I guess that is how he is in his real life too. Thank you Dhina for being so enthusiastic!!
3. Arun (Abhi's{abhiarunn} Husband)- Seems to have a lot of patience. You should have seen him helping abhi while dressing up their daughter in the paper dressing game. Always smiling! As I say this i still can see him smiling. Abhi and Arun may not have won the best couple prize but to me they both seemed very compatible!!!
4. Reji Joseph (Sherral's Husband): He was dressed up the most casual and had the same attitude too, very casual! He moved with the crowed with so much ease that it never seemed like the couple were new to the group. He is another person who gave me confidence that I was just going the right way! Thank you so much. And hope Sherrel sees this message and passes it to him.
5. Srikantan (Gayathri{KG3}'s Husband): I saw the look " you all have fun doing anything you want but for God sake please leave me alone" He would have prefered to sit back and watch the show but I could not just let him go and dragged him to Judge the mom's Make up game. But yes as we continued he played his part well!! I am really sorry for not being able to read his letter for his loving wife. Seems like a very sentimental person. Enna Gayathri??
6. Viju (Bhavya's Husband): He's a real cool person. When we were playing the last game, he tried to signal Bhavya to check out the answers for the questions he was not very sure about and I bluttered out "Aaye no cheating" but he never seemed to mind it (that's what I think, if he did mind please tell him I am sorry). Bhavya, Viju, Vibha and Saana are a picture perfect family!
7. John (Penitia's Husband)- A true Gentleman(Not that the others were not) but he was kind to everyone. Such a pleasant personality. If he is a professor, then I am pretty sure that he is a favorite of all his students. Right Penitia?
8. Shiva (Anuradha(anushish)'s Husband)- Such a soft person. He was so happy to see all the kids there. He even helped my daughter clean her hands for which she never wanted to thank him!!! I have already told whom i would choose for my elder bro now here comes a person whom I would have wished to be my younger brother. Anu I wish your son is just like him.
Guru my Husband would never allow me to post this blog because he says we have no right to comment or compliment others. But I definitely will post this blog because this is the only way I know to thank all the wonderful Dad's i met at the meet and I can never forget them. Thank you for all your support.
PS: As per our Admin's request I would want all these Cmoms to collect a brief note from their husband as to how they felt being there and post it here. Both compliments and comments are welcome so that we can perform better next time.
Sudha
Hey good u remember all their names..it would be nice if u can post womens day party photos
Sudha
Thanks a lot for this. Great job in penning this down... would definitely pass on the message to Reji, who really enjoyed the event. We all are very impressed with the games and the way it was conducted.
Also kudos to the group who made us feel very welcome. Therefore we didnt feel new to the group at all.
Am very happy to have discovered this platform of mamas.!! Looking forward to the next meet.
Sherral
Hey sherral!
How stupid i could be for never realising that Baileysherry is you!
Thanks a lot for your comment. We are sure looking forward to meet you too!
I am penning up my comments tooooooooo late (u c i am a little lazy ghoose)
To be honest when this d'day was planned as a family meet, i was thinking it might not click well - for 2 reasons:
#1 - as it is most c'moms are not familiar with each other & how do we expect our family (especially the man force) to mingle with each other???
#2 - no big time to plan for anything. The place & the count were freezed just 5 days before. No time to meet anyone prior to the show. How do we conduct a event / keep the crowd engaged without proper planning?
So I decided not to bring any family members and just join this meet as an individual only so that I dont embarrass my husband (rather i dont vaangify my maanam or c'moms maanam before him).
But when sudha sent me mails regarding the game plans, i became little enthu (oru oli vatam came) and when i spoke to her over the phone, the enthu became more. She was sounding very cool & said she has got handfull of games with her & she would ensure that the crowed doesnt feel bored.
So i thought let me check out with my husband on his willingness to join & i had big trust that he will say "NO" because he is just the opposite to me. He is very quiet & little reserved & take a long time to mingle with others (i am not telling this with an intention of complaining but thatz his nature). But to my surprise & shock he said "YES, I am joining".
But ladies, believe me this is the first time I heard the one liner from him "hey anu, you make sensible friends too, good" (otherwise he alwayz turns down coming to any of my friends gathering telling, please ma yenuku othuvaradhu, they are all in different thinking line... you go & njoy)
Some of his feedback:
**** Sudha did an EXCELLENT JOB (i hv already put it in another blog but still) - She did the job better than how a proper EVENT MANAGMENT person would have done.
**** Un-egoistic people - no one (especially the men) ever felt why should he go & talk to some one. They came up to one another and began to mingle so quickly. And also exchanged their contacts so that it would be helpful for exchange of complaints in future
**** Admirable kids - Most of the kids were so cool, gave complete space to their parents to njoy the day out & had maximum fun with other kids. None of the kids felt bad / down when they didnt win a game. They infact cheered one another so well
**** Such a quiet admin - A woman who was behind all these....a person who is managing this entire site - but no bandha, no sign of that "I am THE person".
BEST STATEMENT OF THE DAY - "I am ready to start chennaidads.com" - (uttered by Bhavani) & you should see the glow in every men's face & the shock in every women's face
Thanks a lot sudha, bhavani & every mom who made this family meet as memorable one. Me & My husband enjoyed every second of it (thou most of the time we were behind my villan son)
