Shobana's blog on the Fiesta was excellent that I did not think I had to make any post at all! But I can see the discussion dieing down so here I am with something.
Remember our friend Sangita Vijay posted a blog after Mamma Mia where she asked us to compliment a person who had impressed us during the event.
Lets do it again. This time let it not be the person alone. Maybe we can post the unforgetable moment at the event. It can be as simple as meeting a long time friend with whom you were just chatting on the site and how interesting it was to meet her in person.
This will be another way where we can relive those moment and also help those who could not attend the event but really wanted to be there get a better picture of what we did!!!!!
Hope to see a lot of response to this blog!!!!
Sudha
what i liked on THAT day :

Let me first post about a few things that happened I can never forget!!!
I was extremly happy when our Cmom Bhavya and her daughter Vibha won the 2nd prize in the mom and me contest!!!!
The reason. Two days before the event I came to know that Bhavya wanted to withdraw her name from the event because of the Theme (Health)!!!! I was surprised and gave her a call to see if it was true and even suggested her a few things. I dont know if I was of any help but realy wanted them to participate and win, coz Bhavya is a real good dancer who one the secon runner up at Mrs. Chennaimom contest too! I was sure that Vibha was no less talented. This Little girl is so independent. I never saw her troubling her mom during any of the event, be it Mamma Mia or Pink of health. She is just busy with herself. Bhavya you are realy lucky!!!! Congrats again!
Congrats to all the winners!!!
I had too Hasina!!!
And Hey people there is one little volunteer who helped us a lot during the event.
That was indeed Sumaiya(Hope i spelled it right!) She helped us in decorating, giving away momentoe and many more. Hasina you are lucky too, to have a daughter who accompanies and assits you. Next time I would love to see you both participate too.
And ofcourse we had little Shreelaksha(Ramya's daughter), she was so excited to help us!!!!! Dolpy Ramya and laksha's concept was so nice, they both really spoke like Dora and Bujji!!!!
10-. dint like the name POH as i preferred HAND IN HAND but................now i feel that the name was totally apt.
Since I ve already spoken abt the volunteers in my blog,Let me talk abt the event, which will eventually bring forth the people behind…
hey shobs - am smiling alone reading out your last line...yaaru pa antha ilakiyan.....am imagining you pichifying his bun !!!
a) And shobana again - you were first in my list.... thanks for dragging me in...i enjoyed and could get acquainted with quite a few moms in the event....And, you were tireless behind the mike....and no wonder ended up pichifying kutties' buns !!
b) sudha amazed with her creativity....and silent killer as everyone mentioned....sudha, but, you looked too occupied or lost ?!! that day always seemed to be thinking of something.. event manager !!
c) other hand, bhavani looked cool (atleast to me)
d) as hasina mentioned, jaysree was very active.. met many - radika, ramya, mollu, lalitha, penitia, chithra, shobitha, indu...was good....
e) and, i thoroughly enjoyed transformation of ramya from dolpy ramya to Dora....ramya and laksha rocked...
f) Bhavs was full 'para-para' and energetic.....her dance with vibha was great too....and it was fun to watch kutti vibha watching amma for every step and trying to match her !!
g) i felt Dr.Latha could have spoken more points before she announced her results for the working moms side...it was little sudden....
h) Missed meeting Priya mahesh in the event though i have spoken to her couple of times earlier....
i) missed my kid very much..
she would have enjoyed...
Subha...Illakian is Akil's son...kadaisila avan bun thaan enakku kidachuthu...And Akils and Lalitha tks...for sharg it with me !!
And as I had mentioned earlier,u never showed an inkling of being new to this site..and to me, u were like a long lost friend...thats why I took so much liberty and without hesitation asked u to help me...Tks Subha...
hey shobs - thanks..not an integral nature of me though to mix with people quickly...but, i have picked that up well...thanks to my corporate life !! remember, you asked everyone that day a simple question - "how many of you reach to people when in need?" few yrs back, am not sure if i would have streched out for my needs out... i try to solve all my problems myself....hv improved to good extent now reaching out to right people at right time...... it's good feeling that i have a network now to post my questions and thoughts.....sorry, for scribbling this in this blog....not meant for that....but, just breaking loose today
..sorry gals....
hope we get to see more comments!!!!
Yes subha! shobana is right!!! You never seemed like a new member that why we could easily drag you into anything!!!!
And Yes yes I was lost!!! with my thoughts of how to correct the mistakes we are doing then so that we do better for the next event
And Subha scirbble scribble as mush as you like so that the rest who could not attend the meet know what happend on the stage behind the stage.
oh, now i realise samyu is actually subha....right? u were doing ur duty diligently that day.....wanted to talk to u more.
hi hasina....nice meeting you that day....u were too busy and i managed to place the debate sticker on you somehow
.....infact, same happened with bhavs....she was running here and there participating in most of the events.......finally, most of the stickers were not visible during debate and many complained that it's falling down
(i could see few sticking it out on their skin as a plaster
- learnt a lesson that stickers are no no for future events or atleast it should be over a card board) ...sangita, during the debate, had smartly placed it over the volunteer badge and it was visible !!
And, event manager/admin/shobs !! please note - few of them said - 'en ivlo badges kudukreenga'....i gave a he he he look to them
...may be we should have a common registration place for all events and provide stickers at the time of the event...that may be logical...ha ha ha @ sudha - am ending up planning for next thing.....
Great going Subha!
Hope this enthu does not fade of before we come up with the next event.
as shobana said i was amazed seeing the back drop.......it was simply suberp.......
oru chart and ice cream stick vechi evlo creativity ya..........marvellous.........i was even telling lekha see how beautiful it is nu.........wonderful..........that thing impressd me a lot that day........

may be..I was quite impressed..and Im for sure ,use it smewhere !!! And who wudnt want to be Dora..especially when its ur daughter's most fav.
ho sudha... i've so much to write.... u will start feeling that i should have started a seperate thread...
let me concise and come soon..... :)
wow a great blog
thanks sudha
i would like to wish shobna for her professional work in compering
she has done wonderful job
nan enthan murai poi program list change pannalum nalla siriche mugathoda mathi sonna
i like the way she accepted the change
thanx shobna
Lalitha....ithellam arasiyala saatharanappa....and nee nijama thaane sonna..illa ithu vanja pugazhchi ani yaa??...anyways Tks...
ayio shobs true from my heart
nan matum sonna paravala but ellorum appidithane solranga
Thanks girls. I enjoyed the day to the fullest.
Shobana- Your compering was too good, like hasina said, it showed you have experience. Unlike me in Mama Mia...i was so amateur.
Hasina- She was more like an older sis for me, taking care of Sanah while i was participating. Thanks a ton . I somehow feel very comfortable with you.
Sudha- A girl with inner talent. Does everything silently but at the end of the day she is a winner
Bhavani- Charming and poised. Just look at her and you would know she is the lady behind this pink screen
Sangita Vijay, mollu and lalitha venkatesh were too good in organizing.
I missed Ramya and her daughter's show as i was busy participating in skipping.
I would want give a feed back on the balloon competition
Actually we were told that the balloon should be blown to a good size (and the winner's one balloon was small)
And i blew 3 balloons, but the 4th and the 5th balloons had holes in them, so i lost that much time in blowing the useless balloon. I felt it was not right to lose the game just coz of balloons and there was no one to convince me or give me another opportunity.
Next time make sure such thing doesn't happen or we might lose interest in participating.
Its just my opinion, pls excuse me if i'm hurting you.
Gals,
I would like to mention about Jayashree Ramani (MOMRJ6) here.
It was her i could see everywhere that day apart from other volunteers doing their jobs.
Giving Welcome speech, organising for Kids below 5yrs(with partnership with Ramya),distributing snacks(that was my part)
[but i couldn't go coz my boys were not leaving me.They were crying when i came back from the reception downstairs and wouldn't let go off me anywhere.]
in prize distribution,i was thinking "How she got all the energy?"
After sometime i really felt tired.(onnume pannama)
And sorry Sangita,i couldn't help u out after i came upstairs because of my kids. And there was lots of crowding near the entrance too.
yes lalitha!
I completly agree with you. coz even I kept walking upto Shobana while she was compering to add something new every now and then. But she managed to carry on with her job without any sign of disturbance.
Bhavya!!! good that you gave us that point otherwise how will we correct our mistake next time.
As Radhika said, our real fitness queen was Jshree. Not just on the day of the event but from the very first meeting that we had to plan up for the event she was full of energy.
I am very sorry for having changed her game at the last minute coz we were short of time. Else we would have had some more action. Btw does anyone know where she is now. Trying to call her. but no response.
@ Radhika i am realy sorry you had to leave your kids and go down. The original plan was for you to be with Sangita at the first floor. But you and Ramya did the right thing at the right time. Thanks for your presence of mind.
Hey ppl .. this is a gud one
i liked many things tht day .. esp
Dora n Buji .. i cud not control my laughter at all .. after Maama Mia i was impressed wid Dolpy Ramya .. Dora Ramya and this time im in all praise for Laksha ..she is a beautiful and adorable gal .. she entertained Naksha and actually i had come wid my maid' sdaughter .. (naksha's best friend) .. wen they were actually giving crayons to all participants .. i thot i shud give one to her too and before i cud plan somethign .. laksha got a crayons packet from some where and gave it to her .. i was floored to see such a nice quality .. great parenting ramya !!!
so many years ago i used to like a gal who was featured in Universal ads and googled to know bout her .. she was kanadika ..
n happened to see her at our event .. (met her and told her th same and she was blushing .. may be i surprised her .. n she said she works for saregama )
Jayashree is very much there..Little held up with work..Even I have been tryg to reach her...and atlast spoke to her today..
Hey Sangita!!!
thanks for the info on the girl. Even I felt that i had seen her somewhere.
And your saree was beautiful too!!!
Laksha is a real cute kid! very entertaining. It was her birthday on the day of our event it seems.
@ bhavs
noticed the disappointment on ur face, but.....
the balloons were not picked and selected before distribution, it was just a random collection for each of u. Maybe, u can call it bad luck that 2 of them were defective. And regarding the size of the balloons, i corrected shobana when she said a "good size" to medium size. i wonder if the balloon wud have broken if the winner`s balloon was of a small size............!?
thank you sangi.......i told her ur comliment she said ippo vadhu nambu nan good gal nu.......
we just couldnt forget naksha's face
(the stare) ayyo avlo cute..........
my mom said ur kutty is a very intelligent girl nu........my mom so much impressed by ur kid

I liked ramya and srilaksha theme and the work..
I really didnt notice the back drop work(may be kind of enthu)...
I could identify Sudha,Hasina,Chithra,Radhika,Bhavani and Bhavya whom I havnt interacted much...
Bhavs Dance was really nice...
Happymom -Ramya was very active along with J and very soft spoken lady..
Then I guessed SowmiyaKrish too..She was looking preetty and very simple ..I felt she didnt have the shade of mother.....all the others I have already interacted and On the whole was fabulous...
and my list :)
jayashree..... it was great working with her... as everyone here has noticed... she is full of life... i felt bad that i couldn't help her much with preparing the balls though.... and i just kept forgetting that she has a teenage daughter.... missed ur song J... next time for sure padanum :)
sudha... as angelic as her daughter :) she involved me immediately in helping with the final touches of the decorations and stuff.... i was so happy that i was doing something useful after a long time :)
shobs.... naan pudhusa enna solla... ur comp had all the necessary elements to keep the show lively.... hope that u get many such opportunities to show ur skill.... and the fillers were so good.... :) i liked ur dress too...

and i loved.... adina's dress, rithik's wanting crayons instead of the gift voucher :) , pranav's shy smile, rishi keeping lalitha on toes, sumaiya's volunteering(hasina... u r a lucky mom), dr. balakumari's speech, bhavani's saree and her composed way of handling things, getting to know chitra, sowmya, subha.... it was all very good :)
sudha n shobs...thx for the lovely card.... :)
Hey Amala!
Dont tell me you did not do anything. You were the one who was carrying Adina and still making sure that all the prizes for different events went to right people. I felt so sorry for having left you alone there and that when I asked J to join you.
Yes you are right happymom Ramya was very active too and top of it kept troubling her with something or the other. She is a real happymom as her screen name says.
like this!
i forgot akila... i was surprised to know that she was not actually into designing but the banner looked so professional.... i guess it is because of her passion :)
amala.... u r a cool principal :) ur students are gifted!
sudha... no troubles at all... i was actually having a gr8 time..... :)
Hi Sudha,
actually Akila did most of the jobs and i was there only at the end...
Ramya..thanks for the comment but u know im lil tough inside the college campus and once out of campus im jus cool...
wow...so many comments....just could read it....
ok..here goes my comments:
1. Shobs....great talent, energy and enthusiasm.....i really admire her a lot and her she is ready to face any odd situations when she is into organising,.Had seen it in the "Fathers day celebrations "...already and there was one more show....Shobs...i want to be with u next time ....is it possible?? lets see.....
2. Sudha....My god...u looked as young as a person fresh out of college....couldnt think of u as a mom...But yes, that day, u were lost in some thoughts i could understand. That white sari suited u well...but i just wish i could see u next time in a dark coloured sari...i think it will suit u even more for ur good complextion.
.3. MOMRJ6 -Very interesting person with full of positive energy and enuthsiam....and looked so young that day wearing Preethi's salvar....Could find time to chat with us too even thoughshe was busy volunteering.
Lalli and Mollu....Great volunteers managing their naughty children too......
Amala and Akila....Really great work managing both kutties (their children) 3 yrs of age...
SowmyaKrish:Had a nice time travelling with her...and i think neednt say anything more because we enjoyed each other's company throughout.
Bhavani: Couldnt interact much...but beautiful sari and costumes...
SangitaVijay : As usual Kalakufying with her beautiful looooooooooooong hair...(hey, i m not keeping eyes ok...dont worry). and managing little Naksha too. Nice pink sari too.
Vaani : Busy with little Bhiju Was nice talking to her and could understand she loves to make fun too...But she was busy in doing her duty as her mother...so, didnt disturb.
Happy mom: Yes , as others said....it was happy to look at u...Wish we get more time to spend in the near future.
Penitia : Looked totally different and beautiful...fully matching matching stuff.......careful enough not to bring her daughter.
Shuba: Interacted in the end only but resembled one of my childhood friends.
Hasina: U have a gifted daughter really. The only child who wasnt troubling her mom/ grandmother as far as i observed was ur daughter. I really dont know what happened...but just saying what i saw.
Dolphy : Ramya ur idea or Dora and bhujji was really excellent to watch.
Apart from this, had a good chat with Priya Mahesh, J, Lalli, Amala, Mollu, Vani, Akila and many others.
Dear moms, if i have missed out to mention anybody, please dont mind because it wasnt missed intentionally. I m in a hurry and just wanted to convey what i wanted to....Will come back if i have any more points to share.
Hey Latha i didnt mentiond abt moms whom i already have met and interacted...so pls dont mine gals...
I normaly doesnt note attire as many of u do ,so no comments on that tooo....
Hey Amala...dont be too formal di...i know how we jell with each other and like each other's company....free aa vidu.....
Shobs...waiting for one such opportunity.....
Hey another thing i remember is mollu's entry.
We were all waiting for her to give us more things for decoration but unfortunately she could not get the judges sheet printed anywhere and had to do it on her way to the event. But a t the last moment when she hanged those flower garland in pink on each side of the poster the poster got a great look!!!! Thanks mollu.
And yes you both(lalitha and mollu)would have had the maximum work since there were a lot of changes every now and then!!!
Lalitha thanks for preparing a hand written judge's sheet at the nth moment!!!!!
I got a bulb there..
With over enthu.. I targeted one person and moved towards her to get introduced..
I started with her "Hi this is akils" she starred at me.. "akils is my screen name.. I'm akila" again she smiled.. I asked "Yours name??" she told her name.."and I asked whts ur screen name".. She blinked and asked.. "Wat screen name???" then only I got.. she is not one of our CMom.. then I proceeded "Illa neenga cmom memberdhane??"... She said "No no.. I came here as a Judge" then I said "Oh appadiyaa.. sorry.. welcome to POH" and escaped..
Appa poi moolaiyile ukkandhavadhaan..
Actually I settled in the corner with amals to take care of the gifts...So didnt get much oppurtunity to interact with other moms..All r busy with their works..
Everybody done their part very well..
Enakku vera Short term Memoryaa.. Naan thirupi thirupi.. chitra kitta poi unga peru ennanu kettu torcher pannitten.. avangalum salaikkaama naan chitranu solluvaanga.. udane naan "he he he Chitra2 got it" nu thirumbi avanga screen namea sollittu varuven..
I missed lot of CMOM's.. Next time mudinjalavukku elloradayum mokka pottura vendiyadhudhaan..
