This blog is going to be just an update on all decisions/suggestions that came up in the dec 19th meet up.
moms, somebody pls post a blog on the fun part of the meet up !
, but if you would like to do the compering and withdraw from dance, you are welcome to join the compere group.Did I forget anything? Moms who came for the meet up, please update.
Why don't we have atleast 1 group dance. It'll take max of half a day to practice. You can practise in my house or Hasina's house. Let it be an event, not a competition. common moms, if you have danced before, you SHOULD dance now.

Hi! it would be really good if we have group dance. if no gifts for kids talenz show they would be disappointed.They putting their efforts.We should encourage them for their participation. its my personal opinion.

Hey its really nice to see things gearg up....
I ve a few suggestions Bhavani...As I had indicated to u and Vaidehi, I wud like to sit back and enjoy atleast once....BUT, if aish and sadana otherwise wants to participate in the events, I don mind hosting the show....
I doubt if the posters can be put in play schools and schools...most of them are closed now for christmas hols...may be day cares can be targeted...and ofcourse other paces as mentioned...
Judges- I still feel sme outsider shd be a judge rather than moms/ mils- lest we giv home for partiality talks!!!let me know if u need help on this....
All those partcipatg in the talent round shd go for the fashion show...and the points for both the rounds shd be added to decide the crown...though if possible we cud giv away 1 prize for talent round and fashion show separately and then the Ultimate crown for 1 mom who did scored high in both the rounds....
Pink dress code cud be for all those who are not partcipatg in any event-coz partcipants may dress accordg to their event...also ma be for fashion show u cud ve pink dress....
Hey just an idea,we could decorate the hall in Pink theme,and I think it's time for me to list out the things needed and get a budget.Uma,i'm sending u a msg.!
Ya sure, i"ll bring the chocolates,if needed i can come for puchasing gifts for kids.Then pink dress code is ok,mention it whether churidhar or saree.My opinion is that we should call some chief guest(women enterpreneur,writer,head of women magazines)
I too agree with Shobana.. that if an outsider is brought as a judge it would be better....
but why no one is interested with GROUP DANCE FOR MOMS ?

shobana, no probs. chennaimoms event is for people who would like to be themselves and do what they want to do.... we have bhavs, aish2009 and sadanasankar for compere team. So you can sit back and relax. have all fun from being on the side of the audience...
bhavs, aish and sadana, pls co-ordinate between you three on compere work. let me know if u need anything else from me.

It will absolutely be wonderful to have a group dance and if all of us support and come for practise atleast for a couple of days, it will work well. Since there will also be cmom's moms and mils coming and other friends, it will be a good idea to practise well and give a good show.
Like someone mentioned, I think we should give a momento even for kids who are taking part in the talent round or have a contest. We can maybe prepare certficates to be given for the winners if we are running short in budget.
A competition for the moms also would be good fun....average of talent points and fashion show points can be taken to consider an overall winner if we decide to. I think an outside judge should be arranged. Like someone suggested, women entrepreneurs/writers/authors etc can be called.
I am personally not in favour of pink colour code for the fashion show round for two reasons:
1. Being self centred by saying that I do not have a pink colour saree or salwar or any other top
2. Not sure how many of us would look good in pink and other shades of pink. This is personal view and if you guys decide to go with pink....then I have to buy something which I dont want to.....or you guys need to help by lending me ur dress :):):) I really dont want to spend on a pink outfit. Moreover, any other bright shades like Red/Maroone or any other colour will look good on stage.
If we decorate the hall with pink colour, then our colour code should not be pink as it will be too much of pink. Please give a diff colour code for the boys....
I can also help in bringing chocolates. I mean I can make chocolates at home and bring.

moms, pink color decoration theme is good. but we can make pink as the dress code for all moms who are not participating... i am sure moms wd come in colorful dress for their talent and fashion show... let us leave them in their dress choices no?
and no color code for the kids....

i think admin's idea is good...
People who are into organizing, volunteering, managing, dj, etc should be given a badge or its difficult to identify them
could someone put these suggestions in our shared excel sheet and lets tick off if it's taken care off - like routing to the corresponding committee and the volunteers?
