Sushi refers to the special rice which sticky when prepared.The flavoured rice is used to create finger sized morsels of food. When combined with fish chicken,tofu or even vegetables like carrots,cumcumber ,carrots or even fresh fruit combine to create sushi’s unique colours and textures.We bring you a varietly where we have tried to incorporate Indian vegetables and fruits.
Sushi rice moulds with different falavours and vegetables will add the extra colour on your dining table.
Ingredients:
3 cups water
1/3 cup rice vinegar
½ tsp salt
1tbsp of sesame oil
4tsp of sugar
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together and cook the rice in the rice cooker so that all the water is evaporated.Oce the rice is cooked, allow it to stand in the rice cooker for at least 10-12 minutes before using.
TOFU AND BELL PEPPER SUSHI
INGREDIENTS
100 gm of tofu
1 cup prepared sushi rice
1 sheet of seaweed
1 slice of green capsicum
1 slice of red bell pepper
1 tsp of tutti-frutti
Salt to taste
Pepper powder to taste
Method;
Cut the tofu and the bell pepper into very small pieces.Heat the oil and stir fry the tofu for one minute.Mix in the bell pepper pieces,salt to tast,tutti-frutti and the pepper powder.Mix well and remove to cool.
