Being a new member of this community, I was trying to figure out what this young generation of moms thinks and discusses. As I moved from questions to questions, my eyes got glued to one help query of a disparate mom which made me think for the whole day. Then I thought, may be with no offence to any beliefs, just for academic or discussion purpose, I should ink out my thoughts .This is my first ever attempt, let me at least try. We live in an era where scientists go to mars and still we blame and treat girls as untouchables, because they have †chovva doshamâ€. Marriages where all the astrological matching are done to perfection sometimes fail, where a simple marriage with only heart connection works well. If the planets and stars are in sole control of our lives, what is the place and position of almighty God who created and arranged all these planets even before we were all born!!!!!! God makes the sun rise every day on everybody at the same time. But he is such a modern father that he has given as the freedom to decide when to get up. Some get up with the first ray of the sun and start their hard work. Some take the liberty to be lazy ….yeah he has given us that freedom. He showers rain on good and bad alike. He doesn’t show any partiality. We are at liberty to plant the seeds or not . If we look around we could see some families, flourishing for a long time and then suddenly there is a down fall. Some times some of them struggle very much and then you see a steep line in their graph, whereas with some of them the graph is always straight with not much ups and downs. If something goes wrong we just start to find out some reason where we can unload our burden. Mmmm my time is bad, my planets are not in good terms with me. Well instead if we just sit with an impartial mind and analyze, what went wrong where??? You will get the answer without the help of any other person. If you put in a little effort to rectify the small errors, life will remain beautiful. Grapes are only for those foxes that keep jumping without stopping. Yes God ( life ) sometimes places big tests in front of us. Why is it so???? Unless silver is put in fire, it cant be cleansed. Only if it is cleansed it can be used as vessels or ornaments. Otherwise it will not have any value. Sometimes when we are going somewhere urgently, the railway gate closes, we are irritated, but the person who closed the gate knows that we need to slow down our pace a little for our safety and also for the safety of others. So does the greatest gate keeper. He knows when to decelerate our pace and when to accelerate. Have faith in him and keep doing our karma. When he gives test, he gives us enough strength to overcome it too.

I have a bit neutral approach to this belief.. which i had posted once before in a thread.. I quote it here and I still stand by those words!

I don't find any harm about approaching an astrologer as far as it stays bound within the limits. Take the good and leave the bad. Like Nisha said these are motivational factors. These help bring positive vibes within us that in turn pushes us to work hard towards success.
The negatives are to be forgotten and to be taken as rubbishing. These negatives are for the positives of the astrologer, where he specifies 'parigarams' and in turn extracts money from us, to earn his living.
Now, i don know what u people are talkg abt....

And as far as astrology goes, i don beleive in it to a grt extent...it might be an interestg science, but we do not know how many are pro these days...hence the disbelief....
The first time i went to an astrolger was jus a few days back, to make my daughter's horoscope( she is 3 ys !!!)

Athukkaga bad patch illa nu sollamaatten....we ve two 7 Naattu sani in our house....lot of things not going accordg to our plans... holdg God tightly, not loosening the grip,jus wanted to chk with smebody...if it wud giv us sme relief...
