It feels like just yesterday we were rushing in and out of schools , sticking photos of little achu, filling up forms, giving in applications, rehearsing interviews, celebrating admit cards, getting ready for life's first day at regular school uniform et al. Achu completes his first year of schooling. He is a big boy now isn't he. Wow!
The changes in Achu
- he loves to be talked to in an adult to adult tone
- started eating out and does venture into eating on his own until he looses interest and is later fed
- he has got to the idea of going to school everyday...though every Monday we experience high decibel cries and pain in all most all the parts of the body
- he has friends he talks about and likes and dislikes every alternate day...Nithila Mani, Sanjay, Harish, Ashish Khanna, Jai choraria, Kia to name a few....
- Getting strong in phonetics....and trying to read ...but when i get excited and try to guide him he looses interest and I loose my temper
- Imaginary songs and chats increase in number and his inventions from the mosquito jammer to discovering what happens within his tiny tummy ...the list is never ending
- he can touch his nose with his tongue !!!!
The things that remain
- his love for cars
- his tantrums
- his itchichi phase ( he calls everybody with the prefix itchichi when he is angry...for example...i become itchichi amma almost everyday when i send him to school )
- his refusal to use the loo until u have 1/1000 million secs to remove his complicated button and zipper
- his love for travel
- his huggy- buggy moments
What scares him: A new teacher...he still wants his G miss....
What scares me: They are gonna shuffle the kids...my achu took an age to get close to a handful of kids and now he has to do it all over again!!!!
The second year in school(UKG)..hoping for more friends.. more knowledge... more fun...God Bless

Nice wrap up buzzy....similar thots rushg thru my mind...jus that mine has dreams of steppg in to a bigger school...jus coz she is BIG GIRL...and thinks only Big girls go to Big schools...

how nice Buzzy...! Innum niraiyya irukku... I think kids will come home and tell us about their frndz till they are in class 4 or 5..
My daughter has this "innikki enga class la nadandha joke" everyday.... very innocent, but very enjoyable..

Wow, nice to write these things down. I very faintly remember Anuj's KG days now but only remember that he was too happy to go to school. Other things I didn't worry about like losing pencil/eraser daily (which continues even now), tossing all the things after coming back (again continues, next year I'm going to be stricter.. 
)

what stays : Mr.Bean expression !! 
I love the way he keeps his face when you ask him to do something .. i could hear the Mr. Bean theme music .. 
Nandhu hates to stay at home ! she always wants to be at school .. just becuase she get many people to talk there and she is Non-Stop !!!!!!!!!!!!

buzzy... wait till he reaches 2nd-3rd ... u will be bombarded with so many questions... most of them unanswerable, and u will be hard-pressed to find "convenient" ways of putting the answers across.....sample - my daughter asked me when she saw my sis nursing her baby - antha paal sooda irkkuma illai chill-a??? bournvita-va illai nutramula-a??? sugar pottirkkuma illaiya???
its amazing to see such changes in kids in such a short span, at times difficult to believe its the same tiny tot !
@anu: yeah di am waiting for that face too..hopefully he shouldn't be the guy who says oh nothing happened in school.....
@Shylu: heheh tossing stuff i still do....so I can't preach before i start practising it...
@ssb: oh yes sayee how could i forget...mr.bean has become a part of our family hehehehe....ask achu who he would love to meet...it would be Mr.Bean....
