This blog is to share my happiness about my son going to the swimming pool after coming out of his inhibition!

My son used to love water from childhood. He'll play for hours with a tub of water from the age of 6 months! So I was very happy when his school had swimming in their curriculum right from LKG itself. But to my surprise, he didnt enjoy the swimming at school. We have taken him to the kids pool as well as to the adults pool where my husband used to hold him all the time... But in school something went wrong or might be he was just afraid of the bigger pool and lots of kids. He would say one or the other reason and would cry if I pack him the swim suit to his school. So I requested his teacher to leave him out for swimming. He kept saying he'd go for swimming when he goes to UKG. But then he started saying he'd go for swimming when he goes to 1st std as soon as he joined UKG. I was very worried about it. Even though he plays with the tub of water even now, he refused to enter the kids pool also even if my husband stepped into that pool to give him confidence. We were very much worried about his inhibition... We asked his cousins to tell good stories about their swimming classes etc, and we took him to the pool along with his cousins hoping he'd also enter the pool after seeing his cousins enjoy...

Y'day in one of such try-outs, my bil took all the kids to the pool and to all of our surprise, my son entered the pool and was quite comfortable. Don't know what change came on him... We didnt want to analyze the reason!

rite.. childrens are very moody... after realsing their interest in the particular field... we support them in that.. then to...v should wait till they accept it by their own...

good that he has over come this... All the best....
