BBC news:
India is fighting to stop female foeticide.According to the United Nations Population Fund, the male to female birth ratio in many rural areas is still lower than the international average. The absence of girls is straining local communities, workplaces and the country's rapidly growing economy.A Maharashtran IT company is working with local doctors in an attempt to re-balance the gender ratio.
please share your opinion about this news and how to stop female foeticide?
It is really good....
although in words they tell.. women are equal to men.. but domination continues...
Very good topic u have raised...
There will be no life without a girl. so please stop female infanticide immediately before it is too late.
Let us save the girl child by educating parents.
All either a boy or girl have equal rights to live
Regards,
Shilpa
very good news..
and only way to stop this is to educate people... only education can make people aware of the importance of a female.
Hope this bad system stops soon..
I must thank u for raising up this genuine topic...
yes...this can be eradicated only by acheiving 100% education n also by stopping child marriages...
it should really stop...its a shame on us...
Education is not the only solution...My own cousin was weeping for a week still she is annoyed of the fact that she has a baby girl....and she is a teacher....!!!!!
The respect towards a girl/lady or a women also matters...To an extent things have changed..but still a long way to go...
The only reason in India where the parents are not happy with girl babies are because in their oldage only boys will take care of them....though the fact is different.
Education is one menas to stop it..more than that awareness programs should be held in order to get them know the fact....
