1)Songs for Seeds -
Named "Best Music Class"
by New York Magazine 2010,
songs for seeds is a rockin’ music class that
encourages kids to sing, play instruments
(from drums and guitars to pianos and accordions)
along with a live, three-piece band, as well as dance
and move as much as possible.
Kids travel around the world experiencing music and
language from a new country every week. The band
creates well-known nursery rhymes through art and
song, does magic tricks as a way to practice numbers
and counting, and spins the animal wheel to reinforce
animal names and sounds. Kids will go home singing
songs that you will like as much
as them.
Age - 2 - 5 yrs
2) My Chelsea Art Opening -
Apple seeds provides the smocks and the
medium (in this case paint, glue, multi-colored clay, etc.);
you provide the emerging artist. Children will experiment
with all different forms of art to create their very own
masterpieces.
Families are invited to a semester-end art opening at
apple seeds to view their little ones' creations in a "gallery"
setting and receive a portfolio of their child's collected
works from the semester.
Age - 2.1 - 3.5 yrs (with parent or caregiver)
3) Build it! Break it! Fix it!
Grab your hard hats boys and girls -- it's time
to get to work.Students master the skills of using
basic tools and tackle projects like laying bricks,
planting gardens, tiling floors, painting walls and
much more. Your child will also become familiar
with road signs and safety items they see in everyday
life. It's all in a days work in this
kid-constructed building class.
Age - 2.6 - 3.5 yrs
