Abacus is good for children.Until and unless there is much pressure on the children to be the topper in abacus competitions. It will really help child's brain development.

Only constraint is The instructor should be good. It is my personal experience.

Does chintu go for abacus classes??? i always think that wen shenaz grows i shud try sendin her for somethin like that....... its supposed to improve mental calculations n all na!!! After i started using calculator i need one even to add 1 and 1!!!! i was ifne till then!!!

Hi moms The answer to all your questions is yes and the correct age is 5 to 6yrs when children are aware of numbers from 1 to 1000 and addition and subtraction.

Shilpa before u send her to abacus class now technology has improved so much you can make impu aware what is abacus and small addition and number counting can be taught.

 yes it is tooooo good for the kids. i had put my kids to abacaus when my kids were able to count till 100 and at that time they didn't even know what addition is.
now they can do addition subtraction of many numbers faster and it really worked.yes send your kid to abacaus. but see that you put presure on the teacher to teach the kid and don't put much presure on your kid. he should not feel it as a burden rather should enjoy it.
see that you buy some small gifts when he learn something new or atleast express that you are very happy by claping your hands by kissing him or give a good hug when he learn new things.
