The doctors have prescribed meftal-p and nice for my son who is 2 yrs 9 months old. But I've heard they are very strong. He was running about 102 degrees of fever when I took him to the doctor. Please advice.
Hey Bhavani,
My kid also had fever for continuous 2 days.Inspite of giving Crocin,it dint subside. So doctor prescribed Meftal and it worked out
.so i think its the best for high fever
You can give P-125. This one is mild. Give 2.5ml everytime. If his fever is very high, first give crocin for 2 times in 6hrs gap. Then you can give P-125 whenever his temperature rises. He will be alright in a day or two.
Hi Bhavani!
Meftal-p can be given in case of high fever.else P-125 can be given once in 3hrs .If the temperature is still high meftal-p can be given. Dont worry. Take care
please don go for Nice and ....but ensure u give every 4 hous p - 250 and regular cold water wipe is given .....
meftal - p controls fever immediatly, but i heard that it create some stomach problem. u said ur child is just 3yr p-125 is enough. if still fever is there, then do sponging ( take a cotton and wet it with room temperature water and rub fully for 30 minutes ) or keep a wet cotton under the arms, it will reduces the temperature
Hi,
Meftal has to be used only if the temp is more than 102 degrees. Or else, P125 is fine or u can go for P250 also. Meftal is a high dose medicine.
My daughter is 2 & 1/2 years old. often she is getting cough, cold... normally i used for dry cough cofstop and ambrollite .. some time night she got heavy dry cough. whatever she takes in, she vomiting.. any other medicine for dry cough.. suddenly arrest drops/syrup i want.. if any , please let me know
my daughter is 4 yrs old and she was given meftal p when she had 103 degree fever.normally this medicine is given only when the fever does not subside even after 4-5 days..and yes, this is a very strong dosage..but otherwise, you can give lotemp-5 ml for a 3 yr old kid.Hope he recovers soon.
Rubyfarooq, i saw ur question just now. Hope ur daughter is cured, but the way u describe the symptoms, it is classic wheezing. U have to give her something like Asthalin syrup 5 ml and if wheeze is persistent, better go in for nebulizer (of course, ur doctor would have found out if it was wheezing). Never try to treat children at home for long. Becuase we may be aggravating the problem insstead of relieving it.
Meftal-p is ok even i hd used to my kid when she was in 11 months old now she is 3 yrs
