I got few cotton chudies and tops with gold prints. I've given it for dry cleaning 2-3 times and I don't want to keep dry cleaning every time. I am sure I can wash those cotton dresses at home, but I am worried about the gold prints in them. One of shop holder suggested me to wash with salted surf that we get in market - but I am unable to find any such 'specific' type of surf powder. Can anyone let me know how to wash the gold prints?
Hi, You can very comfortably wash chudies with gold prints at home without using brush. But any way however safely u wash, with every wash the gold prints will fade away.So here after don't get chudies with gold prints. It's a real waste.
mild shampoo and no brushing will make the print last longer.. but eventually it will definitely fade... Dry cleaning once after 4-5 washes brings some of the shine back I am told but haven't tried it myself.
hmmm try johnson & johnson top to toe wash....put 5 drops into the bucket with water....just immerse and brush with the teeth brush where dirt s there then immerse in cold water...dry in shade....
For first time wash at home, it is better if u first dip it in cold water with some salt in it. this will fix the colors well and will help long term. Then after drying this salwar, use a mild solution like Rin or something and dip it and do not wring useing the washing machine. If u have areas that have to be necessarily brushed, u can use the nylon brushes that sometimes we use for washing vesels. They are Rs. 5 i guess. They wont put much strain on u hands and finally put it in teh shade and let it to dry.
