I don't know anybody who is traveling around the same date/flight. But you can request for a wheelchair (not sure if it'll cost extra). Then your airlines will make sure she boards the flight and checks out in LA. If required you can give her few cards with tamil-english translation like "thanni - water". Then she knows which card to show to the people who help her like the air-hostess. Another choice is to ask your agency with whom you purchased the ticket if there are anybody who is travelling in the same flight. They will be happy to help you. Many times, if you go early and wait in the airport (outside the airport), you can see many old couples/people who travel in the same flight. Just request them and many will be happy to have your mom as the travel companion and they can even request for nearby seats when they get their boarding pass.
