Bharatmomsmother- snhemalatha question

snhemalatha

My son will be 3 years by this March 10th 2009. Intially he was in play school and got promoted to Pre-School because of his performance. He is currently studying in a Montessori school. While he enter LKG he will be 3 Years and 3 Months old. I am planning to put him in a ICSE or CBSE school from First Standard. Heard that for CBSE kids entering LKG should have completed 3 Years and 6 Months. R they very strict about it. Will it impact him while appearing for 10th public exam since he is in lack of 3 Months.

Oh YES! They are strict. My son will be 3 yrs this december. I went to chinmaya school today to get the application and they strictly said they cant give application for him as their cut off is the child should be 3.5 yrs by 1st june 2007. So the kids who are born before 10th dec 2005 only can apply for lkg. They are not even giving application forms. My son lacks just 1 month for june admission but... what to do? Actually I didn't think about this 10th std concept. I vaguely remember that they kid should be 15 yrs to write 10th exam. From morning i've been thinking only about this. My son will get bored if I put him in pre-kg next june. He is a quick learner :(

Thanks for your reply bhraman. Even i am really worried about this. Wasting a year is not a matter. But these kids will not get much input as per their learning capacity.

Answers from Natural childbirth and lactation consultant,Pediatrician- Dr.Shacchee Khare Baweja

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.
