Bharatmomsmother- luckmom question

I am working mother of 9 months old female baby from Anna Nagar. Whenever I get doubts/confusions regarding baby care, I find this site very useful like a friend, though due to my tight schedule my postings in this site are very few. My mother-in-law is available in my house to look after the baby. But since she gets tired and also has some other commitments due to which she has to travel out of Chennai for a week or more every month, we are looking for baby sitter option who could take care of my baby from 8.00 AM to 6.00 PM. I am not fine with the option sending the baby away to native as I am still breast feeding her and want to continue with it for at least 3 months further. Can Chennai moms help with some suggestions in tracing a good baby sitter, experiences with baby sitter, any agencies who can send me some trusted baby sitter?

hey luckmom...a baby sitter is soooo tuff to get...and if u get one they r either not good or too costly...i tried so many agencies and was very disappointed...An Agency is not the right option...If u have any person in ur hometown ( village ) u could bring them in and train them up...that's the best option....My poor child grew up ( he is 3.5 yrs now...I started working when he was 9mths old) having zillion babysitters...the only advantage is that he picked up a few other regional lingos as well hehehehehe... I know I haven't given u a direct solution...there maybe good agencies out there ...but this has been my experience... now we have a good lady...ask me how...God sent her:)..no agency, she came thru a friend....all the best on ur search...:)

Thanks buzzgks for your inputs. I had contacted International Man power Organization, Adyar through their advertisement in Hindu. They came promptly the next day evening with 2 probable baby sitters. We felt one among them might suite our needs. But still not fully convinced. Meanwhile I read some comments about that agency which don’t sound that good--- that is they show us one care taker send them for 10 days and then replace them etc...So we are taking our time to think before appointing. Hope things go fine.

Answers from Natural childbirth and lactation consultant,Pediatrician- Dr.Shacchee Khare Baweja

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.
