Hi, The best place I would suggest is Kodaikanal. It’s a lovely place. You can take a train from here to Kodai road or Dindigul and take a cab from there. Its around 65kms drive from Kodai road. You have plenty of resorts for all budgets.

Dear Mom, During winter Ooty and Kodai will be very cold. If you like it you can go there. The other options are Yercaud and Yelagiri. Yercaud is just 28 Kms from salem. Yelagiri is around 200kms from Chennai on the Chennai–Bangalore high way. If u r interested I can give you more details about these places.

It depends upon ur taste and budget. There are plenty of places within India and Abroad. In South India, u can visit, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Thekkadi, Munnar, Coorg and ofcourse the beatiful boat houses in Kerala. If u want to go out of India, Singapore, Malaysia & Maldives
