mamta...why don't u involve ur son into various after school activities like..swimming, skating, painting, dancing, theatre etc. ...there is soooo much a kid can do now a days....it will surely instill a lot of confidence in ur child...most schools will concentrate on the academic part....let ur child be in chinmaya ( i have heard it is a good school)...talk to his class teacher and see if she can encourage him on a personal level...shifting schools is not a solution to the problem ...cause displacemnet will lead to other complications like..change of routine, friends, teachers...and young minds can't take that much change all together...praying for the best :)
very true are the words of buzzgks..... Hey mamta, Ive heard that chinmaya school is good. U must talk to his class teacher and they could come up with a solution.... also it is important to enable the child cross through these hurdles, you can make it happen for him.....try engaging a new routine with him.....change the usual routine and see if it helps. Kids these days need a lot of warmth of love and understanding from their parents. First, try and understand the best capability in your child. Enthuse him to do more of it....like if he is good in drawing and painting, surprise him with some water colors etc., enthuse him that way and slowly put him on the right track. Sound to him, that his academics can improve, so that his painting will go places.... if there is a school program, take him and make him be a part of it....buzzgks has said all that Ive to say in a package. btw, The School is the most wanted top ten schools in chennai. The school may want more more more....so talk to parents whose kids study here and if its the same routine of more cube then its better to live and adapt to Chinmaya School.
Most of the schools in annanagar are academics oriented - SBOA, DAV, Vellammal etc. If you can go a bit far off you might want to try MCC- chetpet, st.johns - villivakkam, don bosco - villivakkam.
