If ur looking for a play school then 'Spring Blossoms' at anna nagar f-block is a great place...My son likes it for they have loads of toys and activities and I like it for the commitment the teachers have towards the kids and their future...The fees is an initial payment of Rs.7500 for that term and admission fee and then its Rs.5000 per term.Check it out. Then there is 'Vatsalya' at Shanthi Colony...Montessori based education...they provide food as well...my friends child is there and she is happy with the school... Kanchana Pati's is a place I have heard about...check out their website and decide ... I suggest u visit all the places...go around the place and see where ur child will be happy ...my son loved cars and spring blossom had lotsa cars so i opted for the school as he would have something to look forward to when he goes to school...it worked wonders :)

Buzz, 7500 per term and repetition is 5000, are you sure. You mean term of 4 months or 3 months. Oh! It is costly, buzz. (No offense meant, just stating that its a bit more than usual moms can spend)! Kanchana Patti was good. Was! Just that! yeah kutty it is Rs.7500 when u join and then Rs.5000 per term...I think for a 4mth term...yup..it is pretty high for a playschool...

Leaving an 11 month baby in a day care is not advisable but i can understand a working women problem there is one day care center in adyar called SEEDS seems to be prerty good one try that.....

All along i was able to manage with the maids but they are turning to be intolerable nowadays.

Hence i thot it wud be better to leave the baby in a day care and I heard that some day cares have montly review with parents with regards to height ,weight and general discussion.

I replying back to you with the help of some details I collected -- I am also in need of good care for my 10 month old baby -- but trying to somehow postpond my baby's day care stay  till she is one year old :)

I heard in annagar, from personal experience of mothers, the following day care centers are good. But whatever I heard is from mom's of 18 months to 3 yr old ones.

1. Spring dales - Heard they accept babies from 11 months. But she/he should not be breast fed. Plot No 1647, 16 Main Road, H Block, Anna Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu - 600040

2. Kanchana patti - Heard its standard is too good. I have not visited in person there and they take care of kids from 6 months. It is near Rountana in anna nagar.

3. B's creche - Have heard good comment about this daycare from 3 moms so far. The day care center is in a government flat only (222/1,Rohini flats, Behind Yeses Royal Mahal, near Leo school). But heard they maintain good hygene. They take care of kids from 6 months

I am yet to visit Kanchana patti's daycare. I will provide my feedback post my visit there

I've heard that Kanchana Paati in Nungambakkam is good but Annanagar which I visited personally was not impressive.  I feel that the space is too small and in the evening mosquitos are uncontrollable.

We had a bad experience with the Kanchana Paati day care (Annanagar). 1. The outdoor play area was maintained badly. There was some problem with the sand there. They told us this after my daughter started going there and she developed some rashes. When they knew such problem existed they could have atleast put some fence or something so that the kid dosen't go there. 2.I was not impressed in the way they handle the kids. I had personally seen them pampering the kids of afluent people and don't concentrate on the others. I don't know why they discriminate every body pays the same fee for their service. but still this happened. Finally we stopped going there after 2 months. This happend during the 2nd half of 2008.

              Have my friend daughter is studing in B.S.creche school.this school is very good environment and very take care of childs.

 I stay at anna nagar. I was luking for a day care for my 2 yr old son. I visited kanchana pati and roots to wings behind Office Tiger. I was more impressed with roots to wings coz of their infrastructure and pattern of teaching, management, transparency etc. I liked kanchani pati in the first visit. But since they maintain small kids like 5 months to 10 months, I didnt want my son to go there. When I went with my hubby for the 2nd time at around 6pm, there was only one maid and all the children were standing near reception looking at the door. One kid around 2=3yrs was crying and the maid did not take efforts to console her but just scolded her and asked her to go and sit inside. 

The maid started showing the place around to my hubby and the small kid came running to me crying 'amma venum". I hugged her and started crying too. Then we decided not to leave him there.

When we went to roots to wings for the 2nd time at around 6pm, I saw kids dancing for rhymes. Of course there were no teachers but only maid at that time. The coordinator showed us around and she was not able to communicate fluently in english. That was one negative point. I met with a parent and learned that his son was coming there for a yr and tht he likes the place. I saw that workshops were conducted for teachers.

I will be visitng BS creche and will wrte my comments soon.
