Hi all,
How to prepare maa kolam at home...Heard that on krishna jayanthi vl people put kolam n rice flour...Can anyone suggest me how to prepare and whats mixing ratio of rice flour for this maa kolam...

hi,
soak the rice (pachai arsi) for 3 hrs. Grind it in mixie to dosa batter(little thin consistency). u can add little maida to this batter, this will help the kolam to stick to the floor for longer period.
Now take a rough cloth, dip in the batter and draw kolam by squeezing and using the ring finger.
