Veena, I started chennaimoms last august.

I worked in many MNCs, the last one being HP. But moved to India and I took a break after my second child.

Having moved to Chennai, needed a lot of information for my family which I couldn't easily find. Be it from finding a good school, pediatrician for my kids to suggestions on what to pack as lunch for my son.

I only wish I had somebody who would tell me what to look for, where to look for, share their experience etc.

Unable to bear my nagging and polambals, my husband suggested me to put up a site and search for friends around, share info I've collected etc. Suggestion sonna mattum vitruvena? I took advantage of his technical expertise and asked him to architect this site.

But more than launching the site, I feel extremely happy when new moms sign in and become active - not only to respond to others, but to have fun for themselves in this site.

I still remember the initial stages of this site when I told my relatives about chennaimoms and my sils : varunmom and amra signed up and became active participants of the site. I told my friends and was very happy that jaysvimal and Hasina liked the site and became  active members.  I was thrilled when I met buzzgks who joined chennaimoms after googling ! The fun began when GayathriAnand and sst joined and the rollercoaster ride still continues......

I never thought it will be this much fun and I will meet so many people! I met vinay amma who lives on our parallel street through chennaimoms. The response has been great so far.

ok... i will never stop if you ask me to say more... hope i havent bored you with my memories.

... and her horizone widened beyond chennai... and people (enakku oralkku oru plural!!) from even the beautiful Pondicherry are (again plural) regular visitors here !!!

ippadi padipeenga nu naan nenaikalaye...  in cisco where i worked in, my id was "bh - bhavani" and "my last name - raman". In all other places it'll be my first name and initial. I thought this is generic for the screen name   venumna ennoda screen name mattum mathikaren (hope buzz... is not reading this message)
