It depends on the child. People say that younger sibling or a girl child will start talking earlier, but not sure.

one of my boy started speaking at 8 month itself, while other boy understood everything we say, but started talking only at 2. Even the words like 'amma' he said only when he was 1.5 yrs.

i understand you are eagerly waiting for your child to speak out... but it depends on the child.

Start talking to him more, he might start answering you sooner.

One more thing a nurse adviced me was to do things only when the child ask for it. For eg: if you child wants water, bring him water only when he says some word be it 'nee' for water. You and your child alone will know these unique words and their meenings. But wait for him to ask, instead of pointing at the jar of water ! This will help the child speek sooner.

Answers from Natural childbirth and lactation consultant,Pediatrician- Dr.Shacchee Khare Baweja

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.
