Hi, KV normally gives preference to Central Govt employee.If its from defence then first priority to them. All the best.Walk everday to school to get admission.

Kendriya Vidyalaya was established to cater to the children of Defence personnel coz of their transferrable jobs (and also Central govt. employees with transferrable jobs are given preference) so that the kids education is not hampered.  There is a percentage of seats alloted for each standard wherein civilians are accepted but have to pay the full fees (defence gets almost free edu!!!).  Otherwise, the syllabus,curriculum, ECA, etc are really good and helps in all-round personality development - i can vouch for it since I am a KVite myself and studied in 6 different KVs in different cities.

KV does not have kindergarten, only from 1st standard...Also check out some other things - like exams are being razed out... no marks, only gradings, 10th std board exam will be optional with only 12th std being compulsary.... please check out these things coz u might not be comfortable with your child going thro this type of education system esp in chennai where there is cut-throat competition!

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.

No 2 kids are same so u cannot compare him with your daughter, From what you have written, doesn’t looks like there is a problem, some kids start speaking late, so if his understanding of things and hearing is all right,don’t worry, just continue talking to him, reading to him and otherwise stimulating him and just relax and enjoy your babies!
