I am not have direct experience with ashram school Chennai but one of my cousine sister daughter is in ashram school from her 1^st standard now she is doing 8 th standard. Really she is satisfied with ashram school in Chennai.

Actually they did not force kids to do their home work but they will make them to read, writer in class room even they conduct tests, but not to our knowledge. Their view is that if they inform us about the test, we will trouble our kids to study well. that’s it. So, without informing us, they will conduct tests and will let u know the marks. They are not conducting any exams upto UKG, there is no exams, like quarterly, half yearly. They really teach very good to make children’s to do their home work own so my sister daughter did not go any tuition she will finish all her home work herself. Now she is really intelligent.

My sister son self correspondence at this age. When reaches high classes, kids will have heavy portions. My sister daughter has to do hard work nowadays to cope up with the heavy portions. But until her KG, she enjoyed her school , class everything. she will not take leave for any other reason. She doesn’t want to miss her joy in school.

From the first standard till fifth std, your kid will have all homework’s, exams, everything like all other schools.

But I heard that some moms they complaint about ashram school education initially but the kids who are studying in Ashram School from the beginning are well fitted and practised to the environment. But if your kid is admitted in that school after 4th or 5th they will find it hard to accommodate themselves to the environment and study system.
