I have a big doubt regarding microwave reheating I want to ask one question regarding micorwave that Is micro oven cooking is bad for health ?
I am a working women so I don’t have time for cooking and also I did not get any good maid so now a days I am only preparing foods so in my busy schedule I cant able to spend more time for cooking so I steam vegetables based on the vegetables cooking time then serve them. I want to know Do they loose nutrients if they are steamed then refrigerated for a day or two and microwaved to reheat before serving? This seems to me that the vegetables are being over cooked or twice cooked.
Let me know…
Same general guidelines would seem to apply: Heating food destroys nutrients, at least to some degree. It doesn't matter whether it's baked, boiled, fried, or microwaved. Because microwaved food is subjected to the heat source for less time, fewer nutrients are destroyed than if you were to use other heating methods.
