I haven't been to Wayanad. but few of my friends and relatives been there..Its a good place. and there is a hotel "Vaithree" which as per everybody's feedback is Too Good. But its a bit costly I believe..they have a site and the tarrifs are given there.

Vaidehi chk this link...www.sundaramahal.com...this is in wayanad...its one of my very close friend's relative who owns this place....I ve heard good reviews abt this place otherwise as well...But  i think wayanad is a good option...

If Im not wrong, Nisha is frm Wayanad...chk with her...

Pl pass on any info ...so that even i can plan it sometime in the near future...

 Wayanad is a gud place to check out......we stayed there in Orchid Resorts....its very gud....ecofriendly place.....we went around july 2006.....it was gud then....hope its even more gud now.....
