Dear moms.
Iam back with another most important question. I live with my inlaws and we had a full time maid to take care of my 1 yr old daughter. She used to take care of my daughter really well and we were happy with her service. But her health is not cooperating and her hubby too doesnt want her to work anymore. so she officially quit our home as of today and we are in search of another maid asap. meanwhile a thought came to me about daycare and iam not very convinced to put her in daycare. But worst case if we dont find any maid i may have to put her there. so can u all moms suggest some really good daycares in and around nanganallur, madipakkam or even velachery(i can drop her on my way to office) and wat abt the rumors that daycares use sleeping pills to make kids sleep throughout the day. iam too scared thinking about this
Hi,
I know one place in Velachery where Vaidehi use to leave her kids...its called Kancahan Pati. Its a very good day care center as far as I heard from Vai.. Will ask her to give your more updates.
:)
Kanchana paati is a good day care and I had to leave my sons there for close to 2 weeks during summer when they were originally enrolled for ashok ngr. I am not sure about other places, but this day care definitely does not give sleeping pills and they had a tough time getting my elder son to sleep in the afternoons as he was playful. The caretakers and supervisors are extremely friendly in Velachery and they are open till 8pm. Their food is also hygienic.
Just take a look at the place
Thanks vai. I will take a look at kanchana paati probably tomorrow.
I need one more suggestion - my daughter still sleeps in cradle (dhooli) during day times and co-sleep with us in bed during night times. Also she is a very light eater. She only takes milk in the bottle and hardly takes any solids. even cerelac we give in bottle.
Iam worried about her thinking she will have very difficult time adjusting in daycare. can u give me some inputs which i can try changing her sleep and food habits
Janaki
Hi Janaki:
I guess, we are sailing on the same boat. My daughter is about to turn 2 yrs in couple of months. Even my care taker is going to stop coming from this month due to some personal reasons.
I live in Nanganallur, there is a day care run by an indvidual where am going to leave my kid from next month onwards. She is running this crech for the past 12 yrs where my brother's kids got grown there.
If you are interested, I shall let you know the contact details for you to take it forward.
