YES OBVIOUSLY.  I WAS WORKING IN A BIG MNC IN MARKETING BEFORE AND AFTER MARRIAGE (FOR SOME TIME) i QUIT MY JOB DUE TO MY HUSBAND'S JOB PROFILE.  BUT I ALWAYS HAD THE URGE TO DO SOMETHING...I LEARNED TAILORING, AND EMBROIDERY - NOT THE SIMPLE METHODS,...I MASTERED IT...BUT AGAIN GETTING ON IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT...BUT STILL I MANAGED TO GET ORDERS BUT THEN IT WASNT ENOUGH FOR MY CREATIVITY...

COUPLE OF YEARS BACK WHEN I CAME DOWN TO CHENNAI I JOINED A PLACE FOR WORK...BUT I WASNT SATISFIED...LAST YEAR I STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS...I TOOK UP A FRANCHISEE OF A PRESCHOOL AND NOW ITS GOING ON SUCCESSFULLY....I AM ALSO OPENING ANOTHER BRANCH....BUT BEHIND THIS SUCCESS MY HUSBAND'S MONEY IS THERE ...PLEASE NOTE ONLY MONEY...NO SUPPORT....BUT HE TRUSTED  ME VERY MUCH...

FAMILY IS STILL ON MY HEAD...EVERYTHING WE HAVE TO DO...THE PRESCHOOL WAS NOT A SIMPLE ONE ITS AN ELABORATE ONE THE INVESTMENT WAS TOO HIGH...THE MENTAL PRESSURE AND FAMILY PROBLEMS....I SHD THANK GOD THAT HE GAVE THE MENTAL STRENGTH TO WITHSTAND THAT....

Y I SAID SO MUCH IS COS....IF U ARE HAVING THE MENTAL STRENGTH TO BALANCE BETWEEN UR FAMILY AND BUSINESS...ALWAYS WELCOME TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR....

6 years ago I quit my job when my first kid was born.. I wanted to spend time with her and bond and I am happy for the time I got to spend with her.. But going back to work seemed like an unscalable mountain after a 2.5 year break.. Nevertheless I managed to find something that suited my profile.. and things were ok until I delivered my second one.. AGAIN I took a break.. 1 year into my kid's upbringing I realised that this time around I will definitely not be able to go back to work again. One reason was the break in the career and the second 2 kids and other responsibilities to handle..

I was really wondering whether I am just going to be doing this all my life.. Thats when the thought of setting up a home based business struck me.. But handling a business in addition to whatever I have already to do was mind boggling.. I had no idea of where to start or how to go about or whats the right or wrong practice or anything for that matter..

With some support of family members I started a home based business selling dress materials and designer sarees.. I only have word of mouth publicity and I am able to juggle between family and business. I do business by appointments only (mostly) because that gives me the time I need to spend with my children... 

 Initially I was struggling with a lot of things... But once I put my foot in I kind of got a grip of what I was doing.. Thanks to the blessings of Almighty.. the business is doing better than I had expected... (I would not call myself too optimistic)

Now I want to expand do other things related to this business.. Things are never easy.. We have to struggle.. We will never value the success that comes easily.. I learnt that if we put our heart and soul into it nothing can stop us...

I wish all those ladies out there a very good luck and lots of hardwork.. to become entreprenuers.. You are your own boss!!!!

First of all hats off to ABI and SONU...great job (esp for ur confidence level)

To share abt my experience...as soon as i completed my graduation got married and had a kid so i was not able to start my carrier. eventhough after a long break without any experience, where i know that i will not get a better opportunity to work. still i was trying and got in a consultancy to start with where the salary was too less but still i didnt want waste my graduation. step by step i got into a better o position in the field of HR, but my bad luck is the company was fake and they didnt issue any offer or experience letter. so the last company experience went waste. now am getting rare opportunities and that to too far from my place, so i have stopped my job hunting.

Now wanted to start a concern on my own,the ideas and the background work is pakka. but am confused whether to start a concern on own or go for a franchisee..Again a question for investment is troubling me.
