As a custom, we also get our kids ear's pierced on Ayushhomam day. We got an aachari to come and do it. I did not give any pain killer or gel. It healed quick. The kids will certainly cry and my sons stopped as soon as we handed over a chocolate.

They wore until they started full time school.

thnx vai. we dont hav the custom of ayushhomam. but i wud like to do it. Can it be done at any age or is thr anything particular.

Ayushhoman is generally done at the end of the 1st year as per our custom and also some people do for 60th birthday or 80trh birthday.

ya bhavani...I pierced for my 9 months old son On feb 5...and removed too...no mark in his ears now....more over no pain relief gel or anything...it healed quickly...if we keep coconut oil....pierce....for ur son....

YES BHAVANI EAR PIERCING IS MUST FOR ALL THE KIDS... IN ONE OF THE MOVIE I SAW THIS (FORGOT THE NAME) MAPILLAIKU KADU KUTHIYACHA ???? THALI KATRATHUKU MUNNADI THEY WILL ASK...... IF NOT AFTER FINISHED EAR PIERCING ONLY THEY WILL DO MARRIAGE...

        In my life also it gives the changes to me... For my hubi my mil family doesnt do this... I know abt this after 7 months of my marriage... (Till 7 months i hav not conceive also... ) when i heard this , we immediately went to vadapalani temple, and done this ear piercing... Do u believe it or not immediately the very next month i was pregnant... It may b a co incidence or whatever may be......but for me i believe that it happened only after ear piercing only...

        In those days many cultures followed by the olden people... We hav to accept there will be some truth behind that...

    You ask abt the gel right , i used gel for my kid before half an hour we applied it.. i forgot the name, if u ask in the medical shop by stating this they will give u...

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.

No 2 kids are same so u cannot compare him with your daughter, From what you have written, doesn’t looks like there is a problem, some kids start speaking late, so if his understanding of things and hearing is all right,don’t worry, just continue talking to him, reading to him and otherwise stimulating him and just relax and enjoy your babies!
