How do i peel onions with out tears

Hi ,

when i start to peel the onion immediately i will get more tears in my eyes so i cant able to continue to peel onions so any one please suggest me to pelling onions with out tears..

I searched in google also but i didnot get any effective method to prevent tears while peeling onions.

Any one know good method to peel onions with out cryting then post it here..

hi balamani,

Like these questions u cannot get answer from google, but our older generation will answer. my grandma told me that, if u want to cut onion without tears, 30 minutes before start cutting the onion, cut the onion into two half and soak it in water .After 30 minutes start cutting the onion...Tears will not come.. Hope this will help you,
