Hi,
This is Shachi, mother of 21 month old. Actually i belongs to lucknow, bt from 6 months im in HongKong. My baby is becoming stubborn day by day. And he is not speaking anything except mumma, and dont want to eat anything. He only wants milk. Pls frnds suggest me what should i do for these ???
dont worry he will speak slowly... same problem was there with my daughter also...
shw was not eating anything only milk she was having...
is he drinking milk in feeding bottle or cup?
if he is drinking in bottle then apply neem oil on nipple... he will stop drinking milk in bottle and automaticall he will start eating food...
hi Shachi,
U better get used to such behaviour from kids cos as they grow up u will have to face many such stubborn behaviours and tantrums.. The only thing i suggest you is to have lots and lots of patience to teach him wat u want him to learn and u wil have to try again and again without counting. For the food habit, u give him something to eat which he likes at first or make the normal food a bit tasty and colorful by decorating it with jam or a ketchup or something. Just try and observe wat he likes to eat other than milk and make it a habit by giving him wat he likes a lot at first.. slowly he might develop the habit of eating and he might also like wat he is eating.
Do you have kids in your neighbour hood there? Try to involve him in playing with other kids so that he can learn to communicate with the kids and learn a few more new words as he interacts with them. Encorage him to mix up with others around him.
Dont worry , some kids are a bit slow in learning things. Once they learn then u will get tired of listening to wat they speak and anwering their doubts. :) All the best..
Hey Shachi...welcome to blrmoms.....As Smitha told...u have to get used to it and have lotz of patience.....or try ignoring at times...only when u react they will become more stobborn...to attract ur attention.
To avoid all these involve him in painting or an activity like give him a aglass of water and a spoon ..ask him to put the water to another glass with spoon....u have to comeup with some activities so that they are diverted.
Once they are occupied they automatically eat properly. Try to speak to him a lot..tell him stories ask him to get somethings or kepp somthing at a particular place...with these he will try relating the objects. U ask him to repeat what u tell..like ball, bat, pen, paper...etc.
Talking was an issue even with my son..once he started going to school....he learnt in a week...so better take him to park, allow him to play with othe rkids..they learn fast from kids....don't worry he is still young....enjoy this phase....:)
mustard on the nipple is also a way to make the nipple taste horrible.
which foods did you try? did you give biscuits or any other to chew on??
Thanx all of u. All hv given me a good suggestions n i follow them. im very thankful to Smitha and Purnima, for giving me a very practical answers.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she can keep a watch.
Hi Natalia,
No 2 kids are same so u cannot compare him with your daughter, From what you have written, doesn’t looks like there is a problem, some kids start speaking late, so if his understanding of things and hearing is all right, don’t worry, just continue talking to him, reading to him and otherwise stimulating him and just relax and enjoy your babies!
