salsa is a latin dance style , thats elegant and invigorating . western is a general term that can mean lot of things from ball room dancing to fox trot , which one are they talking about ? energy wise salsa is much more energetic

salsa is more of a couple dance.. western can be a group dance or individual.

I had enquired about this in her class now...the fee is 800 per month...first will be warming session pola..after that based on her flexibility and movements edhala podalamnu teachers soluvangalam....Anyhow moms..thank u all for ur quick replies..

I think u should put her in a western dance which will help her to warm up and be flexi....salsa can be done at a later time when her bones are well developed

  For a 4 yr old i would suggest western dance , as it's energetic,  has variety and it's fun too..... as salsa is basically a mexican  couple based ball room dance.....my girl is 17 now and has tried  all these styles...  now she is into salsa and jive....

Jus read abt ur concern reg ur kid`s dance class.To start with put her into western dance and let her learn the movements of free style dancing.Later on may be after a year or so put her into specialized dancing like salsa,Jazz etc....Am sending my son to western dance from this year.He is 3.5 yrs old.He picks up fast and is comfortable dancing free style.
