Hi Friends,
I am breastfeeding my 1 yr old son and want to until he starts taking external milk (which the paed advised can be taken up only after 18 months). My problem is, he used to drink milk just before sleeping in the night and he was very fond of it until 3 days back. For the past 3 days he is not taking milk. Usually, I feed him lying down so that he dozes off drinking the milk. But for the past 3 days he does not drink in whatever position I feed. I tried sitting up and holding him in my hand, tried feeding him both the sides, tried extracting the milk and giving it in a bottle. None of them worked out. Just worried about his behaviour. Anyone faced a similar situation? He has completed his first birthday just a week back. Please help me find a solution.

u ve given him breast feeding for a year .. kudos ! thts really gud
and if he does not drink any more jus leave him and don start with cow's milk .. u can give hime soups and juices ...
btw check one thing .. whether he has nasal congestion? and is he eating other solids properly .. then there is no worry at all ..
Hey Good that ur kid stopping it..me gave for 1.5 years and struggled to stop my feed from her...start giving cow's milk and other solid foods...

Hey anitha..my son is one yr old..and 1 month completed..and he s not at all dringikn n day time..but night time romba palivangiduran..he ll sucks whole night in regular intervals..its very gud tat ur son itself stopped..lucky
Stop him and try to give him Aavin Blue colour Sachet....Its good..
He eats other solids. There is no problem with that. On Aavin milk, his paed has advised not to give him any other milk other than mother's milk until 18 months. He had urinary infection twice in the first 3 - 4 months and the doc is very specific not to give other milk till 18 months. That's the reason I am worried. I have milk flow but he is not taking it.
Anitha maya also had problem with Aavin . Dr suggested Aavin 3 % fat milk (blue colour) can be given with water as 2 share milk & 1 share of water mixed , and that suited her .. just try out ma .

First of all, u r so lucky to get a chance to feed with mother's milk.As u said, he is 1 yr completed.As per child's pshycology, they need various taste and its in our hands to introduce new tastes to his mouth.I knw its somewat a tuff job.but no other go.WE THE MOMS are responsible.So again asked ur pedi whether to give milk kanji with sugar.I heard that its a good substitute for formula and other milk(not for mother's milk).Try and let u know ma.
