Hi moms

How long should working mothers get paid maternity leave and how long should they be allowed to have unpaid maternity leave from their employers in your opinion?

Hi, It defers from organization to organization. usually 3 months paid leave, if extra taken salary cut will be there.

I think you should get it for a year, and I think it shouldn't matter how long you've been with the company.As an employer I will give them a leave of absense and assure them they have a job when they decide to return, but I am not about to pay anyone for not producing an income for my company.

In my company (i.e Dr Reddys, paid maternity leave is for 6 months, if you want to extend they will extend, but paying pattern may changes according to HR polocies. I think there is a great respect to moms in Dr Reddys. Special timings given to moms & also provided lot of facilities to mom like cretches etc.

I feel some milk secretion but im 7 th month of pregnancy now,is it normal to secrete milk from the breast prior to delivery?

It is not normal.please check with your doctor .if the baby is alive and healthy then don’t worry .

Ther may be watery secretion which is normal

I m 11^th week of pregnancy, I am healthy. Do I still need to take iron and calcium tablets? It will create any side effects.

Most of the Indians are anemic and the diet is not sufficient in iron and calcium.hence we advise routinely iron and calcium supplementation.they can cause some discomfort in the stomach for few people.most of the time it is well tolerated
